With that loss Tennessee is pulling away in the race.

God what has Ramage done to earn that chance in extras?

No fricking clue. The loss doesn't bother me nearly as much as the decision to have him be the guy in extras. He couldn't even be effective against Missouri.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw him on the mound. I thought he had officially been relegated to eating up innings in midweek games.

They’re 2 games up, 3 weekends in to a 10 week season.

Good lord.

We didn’t really have anyone else. Ramage gave us some good pitches today and DVH just left him in a batter or two too long.

Only getting a couple pitches out of Taylor kind of screwed us more IMO. At that point we had to bring in Vermillion likely earlier than what DVH wanted. If Taylor gets out of that inning then you give the rest of the pitchers an inning further to them coming in the game.

Ramage is only good for one inning if that. Anything more and this shite always happens. We have a bunch of others arms that should be given a chance, but DVH's stubborn arse always goes to Ramage or Zeb. Can they fricking graduate already?

DVH was managing the staff for a 9 inning game. Tygert came in to start the 8th and presumably finish the game. When he tired out ramage was the guy in the pen dvh trusted the most. That trust is probably wearing thin now. Need to find another young arm to step up.

He has been here for six years, that is a lot of trust in a guy that has proven he couldn't get it done.

Last season proved that winning the conference and conference tourney doesn't really matter.

All I care is that we keep winning series and stay a top 8 national seed.

We had bases loaded in the 9th.

This loss isn't on pitching

The coaches hoped he’d be Kopps 2.0 or at least Kopps lite. It’s obvious it’s not going to happen. Now they know.

Right. Now Tennessee can hold that burden of being a top seed and try to break a curse that hasn't been broken in 20 years.

Arkansas might do better in the post season than they did last year. They have room for improvement unlike last year where they already reached the ceiling.

100% agree. I’m happy with where the hogs are. They showed they can play some damn good offense. All the pressure is on Tennessee to maintain. They will fall off

With only one midweek game this week I figured we’d see Ledbetter come after Tygart. I guess DVH is still at a point in the season where he’s most trusting of seniority in SEC play

Hosting a regional and supers is all that matters. Don't give a rip about the conference title race. It was fun to win and be the best team last season but it doesn't mean that much as well know. I think Tennessee will still have a down period. SEC is just tough like that
