It is definitely achievable, although I think it puts a certain cap on our ceiling this year. Some guards are going to have to get in the paint to rebound at times. Whitt is one of the best when it comes to that. We had two or three screens on most possessions when Joe was in. While UALR probably won’t be good this year, like you said they are not a small team by any means.

We're going to have to go the route Auburn took last year.
I think that even after this 1st season we will see a lot of this. Musselman really likes to throw up the deep ball. I guess the analytics justify it. His teams put up the majority of their shots behind the line or point blank at the rim.
Personally I've never liked teams that live and die by the 3, but who am I to criticize? And I suppose it's a fine strategy so long as you have shooters to knock them down.

Swicker, a lawyer and former NBA team consultant, has essentially written the Bible on Isaiah Joe. This week, he joined The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie, one of the world’s most respected draft analysts, to further break down Joe, a pre-season All-SEC selection who last season set the SEC record for three-pointers made per game by a freshman (3.32 per game). On top of that, Joe was the only high major player in college basketball last season to take at least 60 shots off the dribble and make them at a 1.2 point per possession clip.
“Isaiah Joe is just the absolute most fun player in college basketball that like 20 percent of college basketball fans actually know who the **** he is,” said Vencenie, who previously wrote for CBS Sports.
“He is just a monster shooter. He is ridiculous in every regard as a shooter.”
Swicker then noted on Vencenie’s podcast that Joe is one of only three freshmen to ever shoot over 40% from three-point range while also attempting at least 10 three-point attempts per 40 minutes, adjusted for pace.
The other two?
Steph Curry, the two-time NBA MVP, and Jamal Murray, the young Denver Nuggets star. Shooting at this level is a really good indicator of NBA success.

Keith Richardson, Jr., enters his second season as an assistant men's basketball coach at SWOSU after joining the staff in January of 2018.
An alum of SWOSU, Richardson returned to his alma mater following five years in the coaching profession, which most recently included a stop at UT-Permian Basin as an assistant coach with the women's basketball team. Prior to that, he spent two seasons at Brown Mackie College, serving first as an assistant for the men's program before leading the women's team during the 2016-17 season. His first collegiate coaching stop was at NCAA Division I Central Arkansas, where he was an assistant during the 2013-14 season.
Richardson played at SWOSU from 2008-10 under current Athletic Director Todd Thurman after starting his career at Arkansas Baptist. He then started coaching as a volunteer assistant at Weatherford High School in 2012 while also working as a graduate assistant for the SWOSU Athletic Department.
A native of Little Rock, Ark., Richardson owns two degrees from SWOSU, having earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2010 follow by a master's degree in Sports Management in 2012.

Sports Illustrated has us picked 7th in the SEC.

Darkhorse Team: Arkansas
Eric Musselman is no stranger to quick turnarounds, and the Razorbacks bring back a good deal of talent that’s well-suited to how he’ll want to play. Despite the loss of Daniel Gafford, Arkansas should be able to push the tempo and put up a ton of points, starting with its potential breakout star Isaiah Joe. If they prove they can defend at a pace to match the way they’ll want to score the ball, they should be able to outperform projections and put together a top-half finish. Beyond the top two teams, it’s really anyone’s guess how this goes.

Eric Musselman inherits a team well-equipped to play his preferred, fast-paced style, beginning with sharpshooter Isaiah Joe, who should finish among the SEC’s leading scorers. As a true freshman, Joe shot 41% from distance while attempting eight treys per game, a remarkable mix of volume and consistency that should be further weaponized this season. Mason Jones, Jalen Harris and SMU transfer Jimmy Whitt can all get up and down the floor. If the Razorbacks can make up for their lack of height with group rebounding, consistent defense and strong transition play, there’s room for immediate improvement.

Joe going 0 points and 4 fouls was nice to see others pick up the slack.

This was the second time Arkansas hosted Southwestern Oklahoma for an exhibition game. The Razorbacks defeated the Bulldogs, 103-58, in the teams’ first exhibition of the 2015-16 season.

• Arkansas has won 32 consecutive exhibition games dating back to 2003. The Razorbacks have won 26 straight by double digits.
• Desi Sills was the only Razorback to score in double figures in both exhibitions, getting 12 versus Little Rock and 10 versus Southwestern Oklahoma.
• Sills was also the only Razorback to have a plus/minus over +20 in both games. He was +20 versus Little Rock and +29 versus SW Oklahoma.
• Not only did Arkansas dominate the boards, but the Razorbacks also scored 44 of their points in the paint, doubling their point production in the first exhibition.
• Arkansas scored at least 20 points off turnovers in both exhibition games.
• Arkansas led for 37 minutes and 30 seconds versus UALR and 37:36 versus SWOSU
