This would be the one of the most Arkansas things ever to do. Cheap out and not even hire a 10th when we already have one of the lowest salary pools and lowest paid head coaches in the conference.

Will openly criticize Pittman if this comes true but not getting worked up about it at this point.

Do you even Arkansas media, bro?

They stick to the hard hitting questions like “talk about how good Rocket Sanders is” and “KJ had a great game, how important was that?”

Sounds like the Hogs have hired Florida defensive analyst Deron Wilson as Secondary Coach. 10th assistant position now filled. Looks like a young guy with Louisiana connections from working at McNeese State.

We hired an analyst which is basically like half a coach. There’s your angle to melt.

I thought Woodson was coaching DBs? Or are they splitting responsibilities for corners and safeties?

According to HawgBeat's count, the on-field assistant salary pool sits at $5.54 million, not including what Wilson's salary will be. That number is $600,000 less than the program-record salary pool for last year's 10 on-field assistants. It is unclear how much Wilson was making at Florida, but it seems likely that Arkansas' total salary pool will come out below last year's number of $6.14 million.

So we're gonna end up saving 400-500k on staff this year.

When will we understand we’ve got to get these people that care about money out of power. You see how much auburn, lsu, Texas A&M, Mississippi state, ole miss, alabama all spend on football? And they never seem to run out. Yeah it’s fun to talk about auburn and lsu going broke but we all know they aren’t. Money isn’t real as it relates to college football. The people that want their institutions to win make it happen. The people who say we have to go cheap are just those that want more of it for themselves that don’t have two shits to give about football. We will never be successful until we get all the Jeff long types out of the ad office and off the board

total, LSU will pay $17,555,000 in base salary and supplemental compensation to the on-field staff in 2022, according to an analysis of term sheets obtained by The Advocate through public-records requests.

The annual number will rise as the compensation increases by various increments. If the coaching staff remains together under the original deals, LSU will pay $18.325 million in 2023 and $18.025 million in 2024 — a sum that doesn't include offensive line coach Brad Davis, who's currently not under contract that season.

In all, the Alabama football coaching salary pool will dip by approximately $1 million with the 10 coaches on this year’s staff as compared to 2020. The group is still incomplete since tight ends coach Jay Graham resigned last week but if his memo of understanding salary is used, the 2021 assistant coaching staff will make $7.825 million next year.

Mizzou on Friday approved the contract and salary information for all nine Drink's 10 assistants (and they've since approved the 10th), and the school will pay a total of $8.945 million to employ all 11 coaches on its senior staff.

quote:

The changes bring the combined salaries for Tennessee’s on-field assistant coaches to $6.68 million – up from $5.725 million in 2021.

According to the USA Today assistant coach salary database, UK's total assistant coach pay was $5,147,350 in 2019.
