I have had the sense for a while, that Pittman is trying, but is simply out of his league as a SEC HC.
It this is so, I go back to blaming Pittman and HY regardless of what others say.
However, he better have a great OC lined up. I still can't believe I reupped my donation and tix the day before this news started hitting the cycle. Dang!

I feel there will be some crazy behind the scenes stories come out when Pittman’s time here eventually runs it’s course.

I honestly don’t think there’s anything crazy. I just think Briles is wanting to run up his salary as much as he can.

Promised $$$$ and when the agreement comes it is $$$ with a few more contingencies in it that wasn't agreed upon?

From Briles’ perspective, he would prefer his first HC gig to be a P5 top 25 school rather than a G5 or lower tier P5. His best path toward that is going to the Big 12 where he can look like Superman putting up 45 ppg. After he does that for a season or two, he will probably be in line for one of those top 25 jobs, and maybe even a school like OU or Texas if their current head coaches don’t work out.

Has to be something with the contract because we haven’t had a game yet to see if Pittman still interjects himself into the offense.

Former Arkansas State OC. Has been at UGA the past two seasons.
He matches the profile for what’s been said so far as what Pittman is targeting. Young, wide open offense, good recruiter, SEC experience.
