I just think it's the same thing with some of our fans thinking Liberty was a good team - because they beat us they don't look at how they did the rest of the schedule when they were mediocre.

He was fired from Louisville because he fell off an absolute cliff after losing Lamar.

I'm guessing you didn't watch many Freeze press conferences after our game. Dude was openly shopping himself. Everyone in that program knew he was gone 3/4 through the season. They were not the same team down the stretch and it's pretty obvious.

To be fair SDSU went 13-1 and nearly beat Iowa. They had a squad.

For sure, but South Dakota went 3-8. Mo State only scored 40+ points once last year and that was against an 0-11 Western Illinois team. (Arkansas broke 40 five times and 3 of those were against SEC teams.)

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bobby hang 50 on us next year because we're probably going to be his Super Bowl, but I really don't see 2022 Bobby Petrino turning A&M into a high scoring juggernaut. I've been wrong plenty of times before though, so we shall see.

Idk about a juggernaut, but they're practically guaranteed to improve from where they have been. It's hard not to. The only thing that would prevent it is an ego clash between the staff members. If they just let Bobby run his offense they'll definitely be better than they have been.

Now that I totally agree with. But the way some folks are melting, you'd think he's going to turn them into 2020 LSU.

I think some of that stems from the fact that deep down we know their complete offensive ineptitude is what has evened out the huge talent gap in games even with our own struggles. Them improving even slightly in that regard makes that matchup much more daunting.

I've viewed A&M the last few years like I did LSU under Miles. Yes, they were more talented, but you knew LSU wasn't going to have a good QB or a high flying offense so it was always winnable.

This. If we’re honest with ourselves, their ceiling is a national title with the talent they have on hand. Petrino could be the one to get them over the hump if all he has to do is call plays and develop QBs. It’s a scary thought for us.

As I said many years ago, A&M in the SEC is nothing but bad for us.

Us or Miss State one is going to get burned on Briles it seems. Their 247 board 100% thinks he’s headed there.

I don’t understand this mentality.

To be clear, I’ve (rightly) shite on Briles quite a bit this season for his 20/20 offense and his penchant for derp in the red zone and goal line situations, but turning over both coordinators in the same offseason would be disastrous.

Briles has some faults, but his offense is very productive and nets chunk plays whereas Odom’s defense was historically awful.

Briles isn’t Pop Warner but he’s not a bad coordinator. We could do (and have done) *much* worse.

Alright, just for some clarification. The reason Briles was targeted was because Miss State went hard for Petrino... When TAMU heard it, they went back with an offer Petrino couldn't refuse. This was all being handled through agents. Petrino bolted UNLV for TAMU for more $$$ and guarantees.

Left Miss State with ??? So they targeted Briles. Briles may listen afterall now. They are talking some really good pay here folks.

I will be majorly pissed if we let Miss State poach our OC. We need to show were serious or disband the dang football program

Would be crippling at this stage of our offseason. The fact that we’re hosting semi major targets at receiver and tight end make me think/hope that we’re about to shell out a nice raise.

It's totally normal to have as many transfers as aTm. That's definitely a sign of a healthy locker room.

The big thing will be how many do you see on P5 teams next year?

His only hurdle is convincing people to play/work with him due to him as a person. Once he's on the sideline and the game clock is ticking there's nothing wrong with the guy.

For 60m on Saturdays, he is damn near perfect. Anything outside of that, despicable person.

He went into the locker room and cried, and said “you just got me $50m from Auburn”, he then had that pumped to every news station to show he was a turned man.
