He was involved in Kentucky’s OC search last year. I really doubt Pittman would stop him from trying to get a promotion. It’s obvious at this point that he wants to be OC somewhere and rebuild his coaching image.

He didn't disappear. The NCAA screwed with him over home school transcripts or whatnot. He played a year of junior college, signed with TCU and I don't know what after that.

Will be interesting how Pittman deals with this. He said at one point, you hit the portal and you are gone. Then he let Malik back, if he lets Ketron back, it means the first statement is completely false.
Which it probably should be, because I believe any good player will threaten with the portal for more NIL money since they aren’t under actual contracts like the pros.

He has elaborated on this since. Said that if you hop in the portal and miss practice time or team events that you are done. He doesn't mind a kid exploring their options and coming back.
He shouldn't have said anything about it though as some players will be treated differently than others. Talented players can get away with it. Bench guys not so much.
