I think it's common sense that you make Leonhard say no first. If he does:
Charlie Strong.... I'm seriously ok with this... I think it would be a good fit for us and he would recruit well here.

Matt Scalley Utah.... they had a great plan for Williams and USC... preaches toughness.

Joe Rossi Minnesota

Patrick Toney Florida

Just some names for a starting point.

this brings up a good point though and something you may have noticed about Odom. Certain coaches are better against certain schemes. Utah lost 3 games this season but beat usc twice. Odoms defense got shredded multiple times this year but shut down lsu. Whoever we get needs to be able to slow down spread offenses, and be physical against the run.

The DC at Marshall made $210K this year. He was so a former head coach at the G5 level. He's also from Louisiana.

Go pay the man $650K and get one of the elite DCs in the nation and quit fricking around.

If we are doing that, let’s go get that Missouri State coach since he is only making $300K

Honestly this hire is gonna go a looong way in determining exactly how I feel about giving Pittman more time. Feels like a very important decision..will tell us if he's actually just fricking around or not

Didn't Arkansas have a player with a last name of Guidry?

Please show me where Missouri State is on this list. Because Marshall and Lance Guidry had the 3rd most effiecent defense in the nation this year.

Arkasas under Odom was 80th...

it's funny how media outlets pop up with "information!" on names who might be floated

and you click it, and they want you to pay for a subscription, and they're probably getting the names by reading us

ETA: if I happen to name one of them in particular, some posters will lose their shite because that guy is their "go to" sauce, who doesn't know shite and has never known shite

Any juice on the new DC yet? I know it's early but I would think Pittman would want to move fast on this.

Everyone I see keeps pointing towards Georgia DL coach. If so, will he come before the championship games? I doubt it.

Todd Grantham would be worth kicking the tires on at least.

Kind of a risk with no coordinator experience, but would be thrilled for him to come home as DL coach. FWIW, I actually know someone that says that Leonhard is a real possibility. Not saying he is right, but that's what he tells. I'll believe it when I see it.

Some talk that Leonhard might take the year off or he gets a NFL DC job maybe at a place like Green Bay.
