You can just tell how much he loves being in the Bay Area this week and how much he misses the NBA and the Warriors.

But I also think he knows those days are gone and that Arkansas is about the best situation for him from a basketball standpoint now.

All I know is, I'm just glad the west coast only has one real program. If UCLA ever opens, it will be quite interesting to say the least.

He’ll probably end up back in the NBA at some point. All I can say is you better enjoy this now, because at some points brighter lights and bigger stages will come calling him and he’ll be gone.

Sadly, I agree but think we get a chip out of the deal before that time.

Muss is almost 60 now, right? I know he's very energetic and youthful, but, besides the NBA or UCLA, how much more jumping around from job to job do you think he wants to do?

I wonder if he feels more appreciated by the fans than he did in the NBA. I’m willing to bet the NBA fans didn’t give a shite about his wife or his kids compared to how the Nevada and Arkansas fans embraced them.

The guy looks high on life when Bud Walton is rocking. Maybe he’s in love with the passion without the media circus that comes with the college game? Just a hopeful thought.

I think he wants to throw Bob Holt from the the top of Mount Magazine, but, other than that, I agree.

Why is he still around? He does nothing but act like a d-bag to our coaches. It would be different if he was some sort of investigative reporter breaking news, but he's not. It's just Bob Holt and his ego trying to get under the skin of our coaches.

Not going to worry about it. If he ends up back in the NBA, we are likely sitting in a great position, and if he stays we are likely to be in an even better position. One thing is for sure, one day he will leave no matter what. Enjoy the ride!

He’s just trying to take advantage of the exposure that Arkansas doesn’t get out there. Don’t overthink it. He’s about to be a top 5 paid college coach after this year, not going anywhere for awhile

Saban was 64ish when he took Alabama.
Bob Knight took his last job at 59ish.
Pitino took Louisville at 47ish.
Roy Williams anomaly who left Kansas for UNC got Kansas at 38ish and UNC at 53ish.

You would think Muss last job unless ran off would be this one, but you never know how bad he wants to prove he can be a NBA coach.

But as far as him retiring here, he isn’t Nolan, as soon as he quits coaching he is gone… nothing calls quite like mama, and he will be on a beach I assume.

Exactly. If you’re making 5M+/year, California is awesome.

Love the ridiculous hypothesis on why someone with no ties will stay in a land locked anywhere in America place like Arkansas forever.

He may go. We have to try and keep him as long as we can and I think we have him for a few more years. But if he wants to go back to California... Okay.

I've been to California... I though the place sucked, but if he wants to go back then more power to him.

I like NWA and all, but are some of you really thinking California wouldn't be pretty awesome for someone with his kind of money/lifestyle? No, I wouldn't want to be middle class trying to make it in the Bay area but that's not what he is..

Come on now

It was 15 years ago and he is 70, so 55 mistyped the number, my bad.

Guess it all depends on what you want to be around, I couldn’t be the person who has to download an app to avoid humans shitting and shooting up on the streets.

If it was without the Californians which is slowly happening with the exodus to southern states that stayed open, I could see the appeal. Maybe not LA with them already talking about rolling blackouts and water rationing in March.
