Dumbest thing ever and an embarrassment to LR.

LR doesn't even meet one of the requirements.

Mark tweeted this shite because he's going to lose reelection

Just when I'm trying to break away from Amazon and their choke hold of my checking account.

It's been a month for me. I'm trying to swap everything to WalMart not that I think they're any better but I feel like being an Arkansan at least they do do (hehe) stuff for areas of the state.

I'll say this, the Amazon site is much better than the walmart site. An example, I was looking for some eyeliner, easy peasy to find on Amazon, what I found on Walmart that I wanted was a pack of 6. What the hell- I only have 2 eyes and I'm not planning on living in a bunker for 20 years. I can gladly repurchase more later on so seemed rather silly to me.

LR met all the criteria to get Google Fiber here but dropped the ball and didn't submit the application in time.

If I was in charge I would just hand them the keys to the city. That would be my pitch. Come in and do whatever the hell you want.

NW Arkansas needs to go all in on a bid.

The area is growing like a weed and tends to be very well educated. Plus Amazon could thumb their nose at Walmart from across the street.

NWA doesn't meet any of the requirements. Specifically access to mass transit and proximity to an international airport.

The new HQ will be in either the The Boston-NYC-DC megalopolis (most likely), Florida, or Texas.

little rock leaders should have been summarily executed when they balked at Fed Ex years ago.

Just imagine.

Amazon is publicly seeking a home for its second headquarters, and a report from Bloomberg on Tuesday says some execs are already pushing for Boston. The execs reportedly like that Boston is near prestigious schools like MIT and Harvard, which would no doubt help to fill its ranks with highly educated alums with different areas of expertise, whether engineering or the arts. In CNBC's own analysis of where Amazon might put its new HQ, Boston was ranked fifth. The city is also near an airport, one of Amazon's other requirements, and along public transit. Boston has its own train line but is also close to Amtrak for easy access to the rest of the northeast seaboard.

We could be as nice as Memphis?

Sad that's how shitty LR is.

It's going East Coast, Austin or Nashville. Bet me.

I think it will go to Texas. Either Austin or DFW.

Amazon has put on a few "job fairs" in NWA hoping to drain Walmart's talent pool here. They are serious about "taking on Walmart" so it wouldn't surprise me to see them put their new HQ somewhere in DFW or Austin where they can drag down Walmart's talent pool via proximity.

Little Rock has no chance, but it would transform the state if it happened.
