My thoughts exactly. I've always thought it was bad but once I moved out of state I really started to see just how stupid and arse-backwards the NWA vs. central AR bullshite is. The saddest part is that these are grown adults on either side that have no idea they're even doing it.

I will say this though, being an impartial witness has opened my eyes when it comes to which side usually instigates the argument (especially if you approach anything Piofeet says as a known troll, he/she is the exception to the rule).

I don't know what drives it deep down or why some are too blinded to see how ridiculous it is for two parts of the same small state treat the other like a rival, but for it to simply be chalked up to WMS vs. DWRRS at it's core is a lie that most convince themselves to believe as justification. I implore anyone that regularly takes part to step back and become an impartial, unbiased observer and you too will eventually wake up to the idiocy.

Lol. I said something about LR being a dump. It's you Central Arkansas fools that started defending your shite city. No one defended NWA.

I do agree with your first-year psych analysis that you Central Arkansas folks have serious little dick syndrome. Especially piofeet. He got so bent out of shape just after reading facts about LR

The NWA/LR thing is a lot like the Arkansas/Arkansas State thing.

One "team" rarely thinks about the other team, but the opposite is true on the other side of it.

I'm all for more people believing LR is the "place to be" in Arkansas. We're beyond full up here.

Responding in a stupid thread? Sure. I bet I've posted in a thread about Arkansas State, too.

I'd never start a thread about Arkansas State though. That's the difference.

Why does Arkansas State bother you?

What have they done to you?

Are they a threat to your tiny little world?

We have plenty, thanks. We also have some pretty damn good restaurants in Bville yall wish you had, if you weren't too busy considering cheese dip as "your regions contribution to cuisine"

Not our fault the damn highway commission was packed with corrupt Little Rock frickers who paved a 6 lane Interstate as their own personal driveways for the past 60 years. At least we don't think adding lights to a bridge makes an area unique, especially since every city with bridges does the same damn thing

Yep, we use surface water. But we actually treat our sewage, unlike in Little Rock, who just lets it float down Fourche Creek and the Arkansas River

This is spot on. Northwest Arkansas compares itself to other up-and-coming high QOL regions with booming economies.

I don't hate on Little Rock, but it rarely enters my consciousness unless there's a Razorbacks game being played down there.

Many young people seem to relocate to NWA from Little Rock. It doesn't seem to work in the opposite direction. It's sort of like the Memphis/Nashville situation. Memphis was the "big city" in Tennessee for many years, and now all their young and smart people are fleeing for Nashville because it's a better place to live in most ways.

You come off as somewhat of a juvenile in most of your posts. When you post this it proves that you don’t know shite. For all that NWA has going for it, the food scene is not comparable to central Arkansas.

Well you apparently don't know anything about NWA. Every builder constantly bitches about the strict development codes, especially in Fayetteville and Bentonville. Fayetteville has an entire urban forestry department committed to maintaining the "urban canopy". It's not exactly Houston or strip malls along I-30

SoG was just asking a couple of weeks ago what the deal with LR vs NWA was about, I should link him this thread.

I don't think this is true. Fayetteville already has the strictest design standards in the state overall. They don't even allow billboards on the freeway in Fayetteville. There are things they could do better, as far as encouraging higher-quality building, but even the worst sections of Fayetteville are as good, if not better, than the commercial built environment of West Little Rock. WLR is haphazard, full of stripmalls and tall signs. It just doesn't seem "nice". Even the crappy strip mall sections of Fayetteville have been requiring lots of trees for the past 30 years. Our Target looks like a forest in the summertime.

One of the things I find strange about central Arkansas is that even the suburbs, none of them are all that nice. They aren't bad, but they're not super nice, either. Benton/Bryant look like trash from the highway. Billboards and powerlines and crappy development.

Some city should take it upon themselves to become the "high end" suburb of Little Rock. Maumelle tries, but it's still a part of LRSD, so that kinda sucks.

Oh shite, I've taken the bait. I'm starting to hate on LR.

LR has a nice downtown and a lot of momentum and tons of good restaurants. There, I balanced it out.

Personally I prefer the Heber area, white river, greers ferry, etal over Central or Nw ARKANSAS...

Can we get that debate rolling and further fraction the state?

LOok at me... LOOK AT ME!!! and remember folks, the UofA Fayetteville is the UofA for all of us.. Am I right?

You are absolutely right!
