Freeze coached circles around Sam with inferior talent. That isn't saying much against a glorified interim coach that has no previous experience like Freeze.

Pittman ain’t the coach for me. Not anymore.

- Slow starts
- disrespecting opponents
- fragile team psyche
- getting out-coached in nearly every game, in several cases profoundly
- consistently misfiring on roster management and talent evaluation (Fletcher over Bauer, Fortin over Hornsby, Pool over Paul, a banged up KJ over Hornsby despite MH getting QB1 reps all week, McAdoo, etc)
- not handling success well at all
- being overly deferential to coordinators and not overruling incomprehensibly dumb play calls

They clearly do. It blows my mind that we skim past Mo. St. and don't learn our lesson there.

Depending on what you mean, I think I'd push back a little about the team being mentally fragile. They tend to fight back, but there is this kind of bully mindset where if the other team just doesn't lay down, it's like we get confused that they're willing to fight for a win. It's almost a kind of arrogance in a way.

We're also a stupid team. We just do dumb shite all the time. For example, KJ thinking he can superman into the end zone from 3-yards out and then we totally fall a part against a very bad A&M team. If that's what you mean, then I agree with you that they are "fragile" in that they can't seem to put stupid or bad plays behind them quickly.

Stupid is a good word for this team. Our kick returner can’t follow blocks. He tries to go rogue and play hero ball and it costs us 10 yards every return.

Very simple correction but we are stupid and undisciplined. Again I put these sort of things primarily on the HC

These are the types of things you see even good high school teams do correctly.

Talent, coordinators, play calling - those could be issues. But they are minutiae compared to the multitude of simple things that seem small but add up to put us consistently behind the 8 balls. That’s why I don’t see the solution being coordinator changes

Not terrible, no, although certainly immensely deflating. The real issue is our team in that game and in the Mo. St. game and there were slow starts in some others that just shows a lack of discipline. I didn’t think we would see that in CSP teams but we now have seen it. They are sleepwalking through chunks of games at times and that is totally unacceptable. That’s going to be fatal if we don’t get it fixed.

Very very well put overall. Sam isn’t and will never be the guy. But this loss isn’t just what people should be looking at. His tenure and lack of improvement in the areas that you mentioned are the true indicators of the threshold of Tittboss’s coaching ability.

You get what you pay for unless you are an Aggie who are stuck with Dumbo.

The slow start in the Bama game in the first half killed any chance of an beating Bama who are the most vulnerable since 2010.

The coordinator changes isn't going to solve the problem and Sam isn't going to get rid one or both.

It begins and ends with the head coach. A good coach would have made adjustments and beat Liberty but this isn't a well coached team with four losses that could have been cut in half.

It will happen (not just to us) more and more with the portal

Not an excuse, as we still should've drilled them, but leveling the playing field will change the sport

Yep, that’s what I’m referring to.

We have sort of an undeserved sense of cockiness because we went 9-4 last year and have been told all offseason about how great we are.

This team needs to watch Mine Leach’s “that was last. fricking. year!” rant at his Texas Tech team the year after they were 11-2 on a loop until it sinks in.

I must respectfully disagree with you. This was Liberty's 1st EVER win against a P5 team EVER.
