When I wanted good pizza in Fayetteville I made my own.
Eureka pizza is the way to go for cheap...i'm pretty sure its cheaper to do that than make your own.

Old Chicago in North Little Rock is some of the best I've had. I don't know if there is one in NWA or not. Damgoode Pies is good too.

Been a while since I've been, but Rod's was always good. Or you could go down the road to Rocky's.

I use to eat at Larrys Pizza all the time. Dat buffet.

Mellow Mushroom and Damn Good Pies are my two favorite pizza places in NWA. Gusanos is not bad either. I'm guessing you drove by on a Monday or Tuesday night when they had their half price pizzas.

I'm all about their Chicago style pizza, it can be harsh if you have a low tolerance for acidic foods. That sauce they use will get ya.
fwiw... keep the food/restaurant threads coming, they're a great help for me.
imo, there's really not an end all to end all pizza place in NWA. There used to be a Chicago style deli/restaurant in Lowell ran by a retiree that moved down here. He was a great guy, though his knowledge of Southern folks was nil. I ordered a plain and dry hoagie/sub sammich, came with Miracle Whip on it... I puked in the parking lot upon the first bite. I was like dude I asked for this plain and dry. His response was "Oh it's only Miracle Whip, it is plain."
Pretty much all the pizza I remember in NWA is kinda meh. It's what I believe led to people being willing to accept Eureka Pizza as acceptable. If pizza is what we're specifically going to get, we'll drive to Stilwell, OK and hit up Mr. B's. Driving time is the same to get there or S. Fayetteville.

Loved Damgood in either LR or Fayetteville. The family loves Zazas down here but I think it's kinda meh. Personally thought mellow mushroom was overpriced but only been there once. Think I remember liking Guidos on Wedington.

Its so weird to hear you guys talk about Mellow Mushroom. Its an Atlanta staple and the only pizza place we would eat at when we lived there. All my friends loved it when they would come visit. So odd that its in NWA now. Completely random. I'm not sure if I could do Mellow Mushroom however without a pitcher of Sweetwater Blue. It just wouldn't seem right.

They have one in Clarksville, I stop there sometimes when I'm going to LR. Love that buffet for the price.
