I also think we went conservative a little against CSU. Remember when we kicked a fg on 4th and 2 in the first half? I’m pretty sure if we went for it we would’ve got it. Plus in the 4th when they tied it up it’s like okay let’s go back to throwing the ball on 1st down and we score almost instantly. I think one thing we need to realize is we need to be a pass first team this year. Not saying we can’t be balanced but the pass is going to set up the run because teams are going to try and take away the run first. JMO. I believe that’s the only reason Colorado state got back in the game

Mallett got a sprained shoulder either late in the first quarter or middle of the second quarter. Damn, putting that game on Mallett/Wilson is harsh. After all we scored at will against a defense that held the Oregon Ducks to 19 points. But rave on.

Pigs lost that Auburn game due to cheating refs mostly. Nick Fairly took out Mallett in middle of second quarter with dirty cheap shot. Fairly should have been tossed on the play. He was nothing but a dirty cheap shot artist that season. Wilson came in and played lights out when the TV guys were saying to just make it to half time and regroup. But Peteino being who he is went for the jugular instead, resulting in a TD just before half.
Pigs were up 11 in the fourth quarter when refs got involved for the second time in the game, and flipped the advantage. This after the refs ruled and Aubby fumble in the first quarter was a TD instead of a fumble.
If that game had been called correctly, and/or Fairly tossed for dirty play, almost certain to have been a different winner.

Broderick green got a lot of shite from me over his time at Arkansas but that big son of a bitch was down and I will go to my grave saying it. What the hell good is instant replay if you don’t overturn obvious calls that change the game. Imo That Arkansas Razorback team was good enough to win a national title and I believe should’ve been there against Oregon

Also in the 2nd quarter when the Auburn running back fumbled before the endzone and they called it a touchdown. It was obviously fumbled before he crossed into the endzone. Coach P got screwed by the refs quite a bit back then.

Game winning TD throw vs UGA in our break out game. Performed great in a road win vs Miss state that set up our win vs Lsu the next week where he threw the game icing TD.

I think starkel is very good, I didn’t want him to transfer to an SEC West school but he treated A&M right and we wish him well....just not the week we play

Name one QB other than Tom Brady, since 2001, which has made an NFL roster who wouldn't hold the clip-board at New England. Mallett's other two stops he earned the start at the quarterback position at some point during the year. One imagines Mallett could buy and sell you out of his front pocket if he only filled the back-up position in the NFL for just one season. Remember, he was drafted in the 3rd round and at the QB position. So unless Daddy or wifey's Daddy left you money, I feel fairly sure you could be bought and sold by Mallett.
