Josh Floyd has resigned from Shiloh to coach Hewitt-Trussville in Birmingham - can any of y'all offer any insight on him? He's a former Malzahn QB; I'm expecting him to be on our staff at some point in the future.

He was Kheil Frazier's HC.

Uses the same offensive play book as Gus.

Rhett Lashlee 1.0.

Great coach. Bright future. Wish him nothing but the best at Hewitt-Trussville. WPS

I saw where he won State a bunch of times at Shiloh - is that a testament to his coaching or the talent differential ($) on the field?

They were a private school so they would recruit kids and offer schollys I think to get an upper hand. They were also in the 4A division. To compare, Fayetteville & Bentonville at 7A schools. So they played against very small schools like Newport, Stuttgart, Prairie Grove & Gravette. You can google those to see how small they are.

They've been moved around in classification, they dominated as a 2A school, did OK as a 3A school and have fell to mediocrity when moved to 4A.

As far as the talent level, they often times are the only team on their schedule who will have a FBS and/or FCS level recruit, they will face DII recruits.

Not real familiar with the program but from what I heard it was a combination of both. So like Gus, just have to see how things pan out on the big stage. Who knows, ultimately Floyd's departure may lay the foundation for Gus coming home.

And with Shiloh and Gus being the topic of discussion here that sound you hear in the background are jimmies on maximum overrustle.

i have no idea how you came to that?

as far as being rustled- i'd just prefer there be no auburn fans on here at all much less them starting high school related threads.

It was more for response purposes than based on logic--but it could be kind of a trade I guess.

Better not let the Rig hear you talking about Auburn fans; he's liable to stop blowing you kisses.

His daddy is Ronnie Floyd, the uber Jesus of Cross Church and founder of Shiloh Christian. He might be the slight beneficiary of a tiny bit of nepotism.

I don't share all the Aub hate. But frick all the Shiloh shite.
