This guy. Joe gave me an autographed pair of his Jordan's after a game one night when he was with Atlanta just because I was a Razorback fan. Pretty cool experience.

That's defines "cool story bro." Seriously, damn cool story bro.

I never noticed until just now that Moncrief looks like he's 42 in that pic.

You're usually pretty spot on with your sports opinions but you're making yourself look foolish with this Pippen nonsense.

Being first team all defense is not equal to being the NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

Maybe you were just too young to watch Sidney.

I can count on my pinky how many times the ball was in Pippen's hands at the end of a close game.

Sidney was the Michael Jordan of the Bucks. He was clutch.

He had something that separates him from Pippen, Johnson, Williamson, something hard to put into words,

but you know it when you see it.

Sidney was the best of the Arkansans, not really debatable to people that saw all of them in their prime like I have.

This is like comparing a guard to a center, dumb argument

That's not the definition of greatest, by any measure.

Greatest is *all* encompassing. Not in a second, not in a moment, not for a single pick up game.

Its a cumulative accomplishment-- and that's where Sid falls down.

Scottie Pippen was the best off ball defender of all fricking time lol.

He was the best non-center defender the NBA had ever seen.

He's in the Hall of Fame. I think that's a pretty good argument. He was also in the NBA's 50 best when it was chosen.

Your argument boils down to: Sure, all these experts think Pippen was better, all these players think Pippen was better, but I saw Sidney. He was totally better.

By any objective measure, Scottie Pippen is a better basketball player than Sidney Moncrief.

Stats:

Sidney Moncrief: 11 seasons, 15.6ppg, 4.7rb, 3.6ast, 1.2stl, 0.3blk

Scottie Pippen: 17 seasons, 16.1ppg, 6.4rb, 5.2ast, 2.0 stl, 0.8blk

Scottie Pippen is better in literally EVERY category. Scottie Pippen was the best defender on the best team in NBA history. He also was the primary ball handler on that team.

Fun Note: The NBA Defensive Player of the year is chosen by the Media. The NBA Defensive teams are voted on by the coaches.

There is absolutely no one that knows a fricking thing about basketball that will argue that Sidney Moncrief was better than Scottie Pippen.
