Top 2 for sure
Good article on all of his travels and how he overcame them to become a possible HOF'er (20,000 points).
The evolution of Joe

Scottie Pippen would like to have a word with you.

Big smooth, always like Joe Johnson. He seems like a laid back guy.

For longevity you have to go with Joe, but if you're judging who was the best basketball player to come out of Arkansas it's Sidney.
By far the most complete player, just a shame his knee gave out going into his 8th season.
Was NBA defensive player of the Year twice,
as a guard.
And has comparable offensive numbers to Joe if you compare their best five straight seasons.
These are the only five seasons Joe avg 20+ per game.
Sidney had 4 20+ seasons and a 19.8 in seasons 3 to 7, so took him far fewer seasons to have big offensive years.
Sidney averaged almost 6 rebounds a game in those five seasons, avg 21.0 pts vs Joe's 21.9, and had 50% more steals than Joe.
Sidney could shoot outside or take it to the hole and dunk on a players head better than any 6.4 guard in history.

I can maybe buy Scottie, but not Sid.
Longevity matters. Yes, there's a premium for peak, but playing one and a half times as long, in a more athletically competitive league, matters a lot more.
Joe still has a marginal chance of chasing down a ring, as well-- something Sid never did.

that good and he is just a guy because he doesn't stay anywhere long enough to make an impression except maybe Atlanta and who cares about them?

Just a guy that is one of 43 players to score more than 20,000 points

This guy. Joe gave me an autographed pair of his Jordan's after a game one night when he was with Atlanta just because I was a Razorback fan. Pretty cool experience.

His hog career was meh. That's all I care about.

I never felt like he stepped up and "took over" a game.

You're confused about the definition of "Greatest".
Choosing the greatest basketball player to come out of Arkansas is the same as picking the best player available to be on your team to play the next pickup game.
Assume all players available are at the peak of their game,
you pick the one whose peak is greater than the others.
How long that person has been playing basketball isn't important at all.
How many championships a player has won only truly matters in individual sports.
If Sidney had been teammates with Michael Jordan for several years, there's a good chance he would have a few championships as well, but it wouldn't change the skill set that we are judging him on.
Sidney is by far the best basketball player to come out of the state of Arkansas...ever.
It's laughable and ignorant for anyone to suggest otherwise.

No it's not, all 3 guys have a good case as to who is the best ever

I figure you're just being a retarded troll, or just ignoring the STATE of Arkansas and just going with the University..
but Scottie Pippen, who I might add was a better defender than Sidney Moncrief, is the best Basketball player from the state and it's not even close.
We'll lay out the career stats of the three players:
Scottie Pippen: 8 time All Defense 1st team. 2 2nd team.
3 time 1st team all NBA, 2 2nd team, 2 3rd team.
7 time all star
6 time NBA champion
Hall of Fame
Sidney Moncrief:
4 time All Defensive 1st team, 1 time 2nd team
1 time 1st team All NBA, 4 time 2nd team
5 time All Star
Joe Johnson:
1 3rd team All-NBA
7 time All Star
It's interesting to note that Joe Johnson has more career points than Scottie Pippen and that Joe is 9th all time in both 3 point attempts AND makes. Joe is 21st in NBA History in minutes played.
