Can we get in? 15-9 (6-5) currently.

Realistically we can lose 2 more games, which would end the year at 20-11 (11-7).

If that happens, I honestly think we'll get in with a win or two in the SECT.

That means between our 3 road games (UF, LSU, Mizzou) we will have to win one, and win out at home.

Winning out at home is certainly possible if we get by Mizzou Saturday, we'll beat UGA/A&M at home and should take care of a hurting Kentucky team but no telling how Kentucky plays after Noel, could spark them, could crush them.

I know it's probably a long shot, but we've played LSU tough and close on the road the last few years I believe, just like with Auburn on the road, we can beat LSU because we have had success there.

If we happen to drop a game in there somewhere, we'll have to win @Mizzou, again, given the situation, it COULD happen, but highly unlikely, however I could see our team really getting up for that and using the atmosphere and actually playing a good game for Mike.

If we happen to beat LSU and Mizzou on the road, even with a slip up at home to say Kentucky, we are dancing.

Take care of Mizzou and UGA these next 2 at home, and our RPI should jump pretty nicely, as Arizona State and Oklahoma both continue to play well and look to be NCAAT teams right now. OU is 16-7 and 1 game back of first in the Big 12 and have arguably the easiest remaining schedule in the Big 12.

It's VERY possible OU turns into a quality win, and they're a Top 50 RPI win, as is Florida, as would be Mizzou and Kentucky.

Beat Mizzou/KY at home, that is 3 RPI Top 25 wins down the stretch, a big help with the selection committee and obviously our RPI.

Even if we just miss out on the wrong side of the bubble, frick the Mike haters, mainly those douches on HiV. If you can't see that Mike is doing a damn good job in year 2, then you are fricking blind or racist or mentally challenged or HawgAlude.

I love when we win, you don't see HawgAlude posting like crazy riding a high horse.

I can't see Mizzou coming in to a packed house at Bud Walton and winning, aside from tonights game they're a terrible road team.

Not a Mike hater but there are gaps in his coaching style. Agreed?

I'm not optimistic we go dancing, I don't know I we win any more on the road. I hope I am wrong.

Realistically I think we are NIT-bound this season, but next season is setting up for what should be a strong NCAA tourney team.

Have to win out at home, have to beat LSU, have to split between Mizzou/Florida to be going into the SECT on the bubble.

All of the "bad losses" for the team occurred in conference play, on the road. However, you can find plenty of teams who will have just as bad losses. Apparently the aTm loss for Kentucky at home doesn't count as a "bad loss" for them, but I'm sure the Carolina loss counts for us Vandy possibly, but we split with them so I dunno.

It isn't a guarantee, but a possibility, if the team wins out at home the NIT should be a lock which is an improvement for the program over where we have been for the past 5 years. Mizzou, Ole Miss, and Kentucky haven't been killing it on the road either from the SEC, Florida is the only strong team from the SEC and I don't think you would see them dominating a strong conference like the B1G like they have been the SEC.

Realisticly right now we are NIT bound but sitting firmly on the NCAA bubble and a road win at LSU would be good.... gonna be tough to win at FLA and you know Mizzou will be guns-a-blazin when Anderson comes in there... need to win out at home and minimum of 2 wins in the SECT. Still don't know if conference is strong enough nationally.
U figure right now:
Florida IN
Mizzou IN
Ole Miss IN

Bubble:
Kentucky, Arkansas, A&M, LSU (probably outside the bubble but could still play themselves in)

I would have said Kentucky was in but without Noel they could struggle down the stretch.

You have been spending to much time on the Mizzou board.

Yea, he's not the perfect game day coach, but neither was Nolan.

We play in one of the worst basketball conferences in the nation and we're struggling to keep .500. We're not going anywhere but the couch.

Maybe getting the road monkey off our back yesterday will really turn the team around. If we can win out at home and steal one on the road we have a shot.

If the standings hold up like they do now, we would face the winner of Vandy / Miss St in the second round of the SEC Tourney. If we won that game we would face Alabama and then the winner of Kentucky vs Georgia / LSU. Not a bad bracket at all.

We have a very good chance to finish the regular season 20-11 (if we can win @ LSU which is winnable). Then win at least 1 game in the SEC tourney and we are in the big dance IMO.

Sure hope so. I would love to see the Hogs back in the tourney.

I think we are NIT bound, the Auburn road win doesn't change who this team is on the road IMO.

Bobby Portis announced as a McDonald's All American today!

Moses Kingsley was also nominated but didn't make the team.

Kentucky losing Noel surely helps because Mickelson and Powell would be riding pine most of the game after picking up early fouls.
