Is Sam pulling a reverse Bert?

He said that him and Barry Odom have been going on walks every day and that Odom is pushing Sam to catch up to him lol

I seem to remember him saying he would need to lose weight when he took this job. Something to the effect of needing to be healthy for the players. Or maybe I dreamed that

The stress was getting to him at Wisconsin because he struggled winning the big games like against Ohio State and the bowl games. He pretty much left because he was catching a lot of heat at Wisconsin.

Then he got comfortable when he first got here, ran his mouth all over Twitter and a nine game losing streak in his first season made him look like a jackass.

With every loss and every season he underachieved here, came more stress. Then after two back to back loses at the end of the 16 season when they were up by double digit leads, it began to collapse. He gave up after that.

His personality is a stark contrast to Petrino. Bobby had a strong work ethic and was fully immersed in his job. He was an excellent game planner and manager.

Bert didn't work hard enough in his job here and really didn't have any love for it. He wasn't much of a planner and his game management was right around Nutt level.

He was fired because his work ethic was weak and it didn't help he had a drinking problem which made his job performance suffer even more.

Bert didn't always look slovenly on camera (he did a few times, but to be fair it was hot as could be and sweating to death for 4 hours will do that to many people), but off camera he looked awful. The last time I saw him in person was the summer before he was fired at JJs on Weddington. I don't know him personally and he came in with a guy I didn't recognize. He looked like he had been on a four day bender in Tijuana. He only ordered a beer and sat there talking and nursing that beer for 40+ min right at lunch... So he didn't eat or even drink much and didn't appear drunk, but looked seriously hungover, unshaven, and basically slovenly. I'm just some dude that like 50 people in the whole world would "recognize" if I went out somewhere and I never would have gone out to eat looking like that, him going out like that just kind of explains a lot.
