My heartbreak affair with the Hogs goes all the way back to the 'Game of the Century', the 69 shootout with Texas. That's when I had just gotten old enough to give a shite.
Ever since, there have been some brief highs, but mostly valleys of disappointment.
The valleys have made the highs much sweeter though.

Except for the Shane Buchelle thread, and my own threads, I don't think I've even made a single comment in any other thread on the front page. My own threads, the "5 threads that are flooding the board", are threads I have written over the course of two weeks now.

As a Hog fan I am disgruntled with the entire state of our entire athletics program. And yes, I am happy with the coaches we have. All three coaches in all three of the main sports are fine by me. All three are damn fine coaches and I think all will take their respective programs where we want them to go. Eventually.

DVH, yes.
CMA, no, just being better than the others we’ve had since Nolan isn’t good enough for me and he’s had plenty of time to get us to the elite level if that was in the cards.
Morris, just completed year one and although I’m not overly optimistic he’s obviously a wait and see at this point.

The last decade has transformed my guarded optimism into full blown cynicism when it comes to Arkansas athletics.
