It'll be interesting to see if he can run a formidable offense this year that can score in the red zone

Glenn Schumann I wouldn’t be upset about either. Especially if he kept Bobby.

So nothing changes except the program losing money paying off a head coach and his staff and paying a head coach more money. Seems smart, more money for similar results.

Merlins isn't going to do any better then Sam here, he was mediocre outside of one year that saw an epic collapse.

That’s at State which comes in 2nd in its own state every year, not a lot of money there.

Didn’t want to recruit to Florida because that’s the part of the job he hated, and it’s why he got fired. Also why I said a great GM would be required.

I don’t think he is a dick, he seemed great on podcasts and in the booth last few years.

I don’t believe he is even on Hunters list because that consists of Odom and Loggains.

And hiring an OC for a HC that had Texass High School ties.
to be fair, he did recruit well. He just couldn’t coach them. Sam won with his players

Everyone out of Georgia seems to think he and the strength coach they lost are the reason for their success. He is supposed to be as much a disciple as Dan Lanning was of Saban and Kirby.

Nope, Perfect match Honestly, it may be. We only lucked into Petrino the 1st time. IN fact, when I received a call telling me he was being considered, I laughed it off. 3 days later he was hired.

We would at least win the PC...

Mullins was incredibly gracious at a function we were at a few years ago. He took pics with everyone, laughed, talked with us. I thought he had a great personality.

Everyone has won the PC except Morris, who looked like a deer in headlights from the first introduction. Even Bobby as awkward as it was, handled it ok.

Mullins, I think he will be an incredible coach if he has a great GM.

Glad we didn’t hire Rhett after last year, see if he can actually do it multiple years.

Fran Brown could be good, but doesn’t seem like he worked more than 4 years in the south. 2 at Baylor and 2 at Georgia. So maybe. I’m worried if we hire him, we can’t get rid of him. As we will be called all sorts of racist if he isn’t getting it done. If he has the same record as Pittman, he definitely gets a bigger leash.

Glenn Schumann could be the next Lanning.

Jedd Fisch I think will end up at Florida.

That's just adding in salt to the injury, as Rainwater would say.

It doesn't matter. The program needs an emergency defibrillator from a fan excitement standpoint - I haven't heard SQUAT from my friend group that is nearly all Razorback fans - just complete apathy. Need a splash hire to rejuvenate the fanbase. It will be the only way to give a jolt to NIL.

Hiring Bumfrick Jones, assistant coach at East Jesus Community College isn't going to cut it. The program is in DIRE straits ('Money for Nothing' guitar riff plays in your head starting now).

No it doesn’t. If that splash hire can’t get us going it will be the death knell for the program. We won’t be able to fire him and he will be over paid because of his name. Need a coach like Mullen who can get us going will have 7-9 win seasons most year and flirting with the play offs every few.

Illinois plays no one but Ohio State, Michigan or on up years Wisconsin and Penn State. The Big10 is the perfect spot for him. He is trash in a conference with more than one game he has to truly out coach people.

He’s going to retire regardless of how the season goes. Just too much pressure from the fans for a change
