quote:Bro's good at press conferences and you eat this shite up while he gets blown out every week. He's not the only coach that has had these financial restraints, but he's performing the worst within them by far.
Muppets that parrot ‘silverfield bad’ or ‘silverfield is chaggy 2.0’ shouldn’t be taken seriously
It’s a lazy thought exercise that’s missing any nuance
Sam "I didn't know what to do" Pittman had multiple 7+ win seasons while being one of the most poorly funded rosters in the conference on an annual basis. There's your nuance.
The money excuse only goes so far. Kentucky and Mississippi State football don't outspend us enough for the gap in performance to be this large. Yes we're poorly funded, but we're also poorly coached. Both are true. He took over a 2-10 team and made them worse.
Silverfield is not an SEC coach and will not last long. Everyone screamed no more CEO coaches and that's exactly what he is. Never a coordinator on either side of the ball. He has no scheme that's his. Just another coach that will only ever be as good as his coordinators except this time he has nowhere near the respect or pull within coaching circles as the one we just fired.

Expect the truth to come out in just how little effort Yurachek put into the hire. The national guys have started digging into it and talking to agents.
Let's just say higher profile coaches at P4 jobs could not get a return call from " I interview everyone" Hunter Yurachek after they expressed interest in the opening.

Still too early to tell
He falls in the gray area between good & bad currently. To declare definitively either way at this point is letting emotion override reason.
It would be interesting to know how many coaches our fans said were a terrible hire by other schools, just to have the coach prove them wrong.

He just got his arse kicked by a terrible Aggie team.
He is truly Chaggie 2.0
But by all means, carry Ultimatetards water

I have no doubt he had a deal with RS by the end of the weekend the week they beat us in Memphis..... That's about all the work he put in....
I could certainly be wrong but all signs point to that being what happened.

I’ll bite. Name one thing he’s done that’s good.

I personally don’t really care about the new lasers, but it is an improvement & a lot of fans apparently liked the improvement at the Tulsa game.

Meh, they still suck. #108 in scoring defense.
Everything else you said is either speculative or irrelevant.

Until he starts winning a lot of fans will nitpick & see most everything in a negative slant.
Not having an established winning culture & not being properly funded did him no favors in facilitating wins. Some might say the deck was stacked against him. Right or wrong it still created opportunities for excuses. Excuses set up by cashacheck.
Without a complete overhaul of the athletic admin, it would take a generational talent leader like calipari to overcome the obstacles our admin created.

Fans will nitpick regardless. It's built into the word "fan." Nevertheless, it's not nitpicking to say the offense is inept. Not just undermanned, but poorly designed and executed.

NITPICK?! Are you insane. We’ve been the worst P4 team for a decade. Everything IS negative, there’s nothing on this team that you can point to and be proud of, so you’ve resorted to giving him credit for the lights in the stadium.
The high horse shtick isn’t working by the way.

Going from a petrino offense to the offensive offense we got now has been one hell of a whiplash

Indeed, though last year's offense is not required as a lens to see how jr high this year's is. Given that, future success is unlikely enough for me to say Ryan will not work out. I'm not emotional in saying that. But if I was, nothing would change.
