I think he might be calling out the fans and saying when the fans come back the players from the Morris era will remember?

Nobody should be calling out the fans. I would love to personally speak to the team concerning what the fans have been through as well. Damn man!

To have hope ripped from the side of the road from a harlot on a harley, to Smile, to Bert, To WTFreak every Chard was... We have hung in there tough and great and much longer than most would.

The GSM debate to boot.

It is the players who quit long before the fans did IMHO!

Typical sec frickery in the scheduling,

It's amazing the schedules never goes Arkansas' way in any other sports. RPI killers loaded onto the schedule in basketball in years past, of the pool of Kentucky, Vandy, SCAR, UGA, and Florida, you get UGA and Florida. So essentially Arkansas plays the top sec teams top to 10 games, no bottoms (no Tenn/aggy puns intended) to go along with no spring ball after a coaching change. There's still a chance the entire season could be cancelled, so we have that going for us.

Yeah the whole thing is fricked up. I have zero issue with playing Florida OR Georgia but it should have been one of them and then Vandy/Kentucky/South Carolina.

we really did get jobbed. The more that I think of it, the more perplexed that I become. It is incredible the amount of power we are up against.

I know that I am just dreaming here, but can you imagine if somehow, someway Sam Pittma got these boys to beat both Georgia and Florida. Recruiting would be incredible. Pittman knows Smart's game plan, and The Alpaca knows Merlins as well. Yep, reaching I know, but... A man can still dream, Correct?

If that happens then that would destroy recruiting and cement our status as a SEC bottom dweller. It would be extremely difficult to overcome that and we are on the verge of losing a generation of young fans.

We are not going 0-10 and we are going to beat either one of the Mississippi schools, Missouri or A&M. This team will put a lot more effort than the lazy Chad Morris teams That we saw.

One unlucky team is going to have an off night.

Tough schedule but we win some games and lose quite a few.

Ole Miss, State, Mizzou, Tennessee, and aTm are the games we will have a shot IMO.

Bama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, and UGA are no shot.

I don't see us going 0-5 against the first group. At best they are average.

The second group is going to be rough but I like our chances better against Georgia and Auburn than the rest. Those two teams seem to be missing some pieces and don't have the best game day coaching. Auburn is very streaky and Georgia has been known to lose to teams such as Ole Miss, Vandy and South Carolina last year. So if you get them at the right time then you have a good chance of an upset.

@State

bad sign

@aTm

Is this still at jerry's world. I like our chances to upset what i'm sure will be an average jimbo team.

quote:

Bama
LSU

I like to dream big but realistically do we need them coming here to kill us on and off the field during covid. seems high risk to state health.

quote:

Tenn

I'd love to beat their arse. this is a chance at a win. if pittman is gonna get a win this is a great chance.

quote:

@UF
UGA

Have we ever won in the swamp? and UGA is bound to be really good. if only we could play them in the post season when they fall apart.

quote:

@Auburn

The only thing i know about this game is it's going to be super toxic and have lots of motivation on both sides.

quote:

Ole Miss

Another great chance at a win. They're our last win and have spent time on probation.

quote:

@Missouri

Pittman needs to find a way to win this. Missouri doesn't out recruit us, it's 100% on coaching here period. Odom should know every weakness of the team.

4-6 or something like that would be a good season and major progress from the pitt boss.

2-8 is the bar

0-10 maybe we just pause the program due to "covid" and try other sports we can be better at. Or atleast restart it in a few years so it's not cursed.

Bert is the only coach to beat Florida since we joined the sec, the win was at home.

Petrino the only coach to beat UGA as a conference game at UGA.

We haven't lost to tenner since Nutt was the HC. We also rarely lost to the miss schools and aggy until recently.

Sure but there really isn't much of a way to spin 0-10 in a season and 0 fer the last 30 in the sec and counting on the recruiting trail.

The only saving grace is that it is the first year for a new coach and the covid bullshite everyone is being forced to suffer through. If anything it puts even more pressure to win next year otherwise your talking vandy/scar level bad where you are looking to luck out with an up and comer or taking over the hill coaches for a chance at mediocre success.

This is a huge year for Sam Pittman. He cannot afford 0-10 and that would be the point of no return for the football program. A dead carcass eaten by vultures.

Coaches have to show proof that the program is going in a positive direction. Petrino did it in his first year and Bert did it in his second year. It is asking a lot from Sam but it is the hand we are dealt with from the SEC.

We CANNOT go winless this year and expect another implosion won't happen. Arkansas needs momentum if they ever going to leave from the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

San Pittman potentially could win more sec games than Chad Morris on day 1 of the season....although new coach first game on road with no spring ball is a big ask

Wouldn’t that be the best thing ever. I’d love nothing more for him than that considering the shite some of the national media has talked on his hire during the off-season.

Well, first of all... I don't expect us to play until Spring, at the earliest. But...
I am not going into this season expecting any wins. Just being realistic.
The only two that we are on par with recruiting wise are Missouri and Miss State. Yes, coaching and development can make up a little ground, but not huge ground.
Add to that a new staff, new system, lack of quality depth..
I do believe this staff can make us competitive, and that's about all I hope for this season. That the players buy in, work hard, get better, don't get discouraged, and work their butts off every game. Just work hard and get better.
If we happen to win one or two, I will be very very happy with the year.

I'd be surprised if we actually went 0-10. Better discipline, effort and attitude alone should be worth at minimum 1-2 W's.

My hope is the new regime will show us just how lacking we were in those categories, to ao along with leadership. It appears Pittman has already earned more respect from the players than Morris.

Our lack of depth and talent will keep us from competing for a conference title but we have enough already on the roster to win some games and compete.
