Amazing we are having this discussion in year 7.
Last six games
@ Ole Miss - Tuesday
Texas A&M - Saturday
Kentucky - Tuesday
@ Alabama - Saturday
Auburn - Tuesday
@ Missouri - Saturday
Really need the road win Tuesday for our second of the season. Only one we have was in double OT at Georgia.

Not an argument.

Talking in absolutes like this is silly. You are totally disregarding the SEC tournament.
Im not totally disregarding the SECt. Where Arkansas would be seeded right now, there isn't a sure thing that Arkansas gets a quality win.
Talking in absolutes regarding winning games on the road isn't silly. Its been proven each and every year that road record is vital on a teams resume. A team HAS TO HAVE ROAD WINS.
Last season Arkansas had 6 road victories.
Last seasons First Four P5 teams consisted of Wake Forest(6 road wins, 24 SOS), Kansas State(6 road wins, 24 SOS), Providence(4 road wins, 50 SOS), and USC(6 road wins, 60 SOS).
11 SEEDS
Xavier: 4 road wins
Rhode Island: 7 road wins
10 SEEDS
Marquette: 4 road wins
WIchita State: 10 road wins
Okla State: 7 road wins
VCU: 7 road wins
9 SEEDS
Va Tech: 4 road wins
Vandy: 5 road wins
Michigan State: 2 road wins
Seton Hall: 4 road wins
8 SEEDS
Arkansas: 6 road wins
Miami: 4 road wins
Northwestern: 5 road wins
Wisconsin: 5 road wins
Seeds 8-11 all had at least 4 road wins, minus Michigan State who made the tourney on name alone. It isn't something I am just making up. For years true road games is something the committee has always made an important part of their criteria.

Huh? How would we not get one quality win, if we made the finals.

I’m not referencing making the finals. I’m referencing where we would be seeded now in the SECt, wouldn’t guarantee a quality win in game one. This team isn’t going to have a first round bye, so we will be playing a while and playing the teams lower than us.

Right, but that was my whole point. It has changed now but we were seeded against A&M before Sat.

Not a big win RPI wise, but a very good showing tonight against a team we were better than. Any road win is a big win though.

Do you remember the 99 season?
Posted on 2/14/18 at 4:56 am to DaleDenton
Yes, why? I remember most seasons. Lost to Iowa. Won 22 or 23 games that year I think.

RPI settles at 33 overnight
SOS falls to 46

Then you remember how the talk was the team was on the bubble, lost to many games they shouldn't have, and probably going to miss the tourney yadda yadda yadda
Thena ranked Kentucky and highly ranked Auburn team came to BWA to be blown out and the hogs made it to the sec-t finals ended up being a 4 seed in the tourney.
There still is a lot of basketball left to be played, 3 probable tourney teams at home, 2 possible tourney teams at home, playing for seeding at this point..

Right where we expected them to be in Mike’s 7th year, he needs more time. Don’t understand all of the hate.

The difference then was that Arkansas was just 5 years removed from winning the national championship and getting the benefit of the doubt and favorable seeding.
The Arkansas program has fallen so far, that there is not going to be a favorable seeding just for winning a few games down the stretch. Also if I remember correctly, that team wasn't blown out during the season like this team has been, on several occasions. Even at home.

Kentucky's lost 4 games in a row. Mike Anderson has never lost 4 games in a row at Arkansas.

Has Calipari won a NC or been in the sweet 16 since Mike has been at Arkansas?

All I can think about is how awesomely entertaining this place would be if we had four projected top 20 picks and had lost 4 in a row landing on the NCAAT bubble.
