That's a growing problem with our country, the 'I deserve' mentality.
Unless you are donating enough bucks to make a difference, you really don't have a dog in the fight.
Football, to the masses, is just entertainment. It doesn't make a hill of beans difference in our daily lives. On the list of very important things that affect my life, football (other sports as well) are not even on my list, and if you really think about, I doubt they are on yours as well. I don't even recall seeing entertainment anywhere on Mazlow's hierarchy of needs.
Bottom line, it's not really worth having a stroke over.
Sure, I am disappointed when we lose, and happy when we win, but I don't feel less than, for example, the folks in Missouri this morning, or Mississippi, or Texas.
I don't have any skin (monetarily) in the program, so I don't feel like they 'owe' me anything. I just watch, hope the Hogs win, and when the game is over, go ahead and live life. It is what it is and I can't change it. I have a new day to enjoy.
(This was not a personal attack, just my musings on life. I am sick of the victim mentally that is pervasive these days.)

We're victims of a cult of embarrassment. Even cults don't expect you to spend four hours a week in a service, and spend time throughout the week pondering the message. A message of watching your cult get embarrassed and losing.
It's all over. The only wins going forward, if any, will be flukes or paying teams millions to lose, to pretend we don't suck.
Why watch the games if you are going to live life anyway? Just live your life without it if it doesn't matter. I'm not even going to watch this shitshow next year.

The football team losing hasn't really bothered me since Chad. I briefly felt something in 2021/2022 but Liberty sent me back to not caring. This year just cemented that.
