this just isn't completely true. I have been approached several times with much better pay, benefits, etc. And turned it down. Atmosphere, training, relationships, need to be taken into account. And since we are speaking of Braylon... Well now, his father "Bishop" begged for more $$$ on facebook to keep him at Arkansas, He went in the portal, came out, went in, came out, went in.... and back again. He was upped to 300k and tried to get 500k... OM balked, KS balked...
I honestly would take 50 grand away, if it was me...

Nah. He is here for a year. Could sit early next year because of “injury”. But he found out no one wants to pay him what he wanted this year.

Unless they have a signed contract obligating them to stay, I have zero problems with them entering the portal to test their value. Some will win, and some will get burned. It would also depend on my experiences and talks with the kid. An overbearing parent can put kids in a terrible position that the kid gets the blame for. Kids are kids, and I'll cut them some slack. We never know what all went on behind the scenes.

At what $ amount does a kid begin being treated as an adult?
would 50 grand a year do it? 100 grand, nahh... Just kids, right?
300 Grand... Ahem... and asking for a cool half a million while in college, eating great meals, getting education paid for, treated like royality? Nahh man, he ain't no kid, anymore

I agree, but it seems as if the player was pressured by someone else in his life to do this. I might be wrong, and it is ultimately his decision. Hopefully this will be a learning opportunity and he'll know not to overplay his hand or overvalue his worth. I've seen it first hand and the families just beat these kids down until they do what they want them to, and abandon them just as quickly when shite goes south.

$1 makes you a professional. You pay $1 to a bum to clean your window and you expect him to do the best job he can with the supplies and time he has. And you will criticize him if he doesn’t.

The real question is when does the college cut back on that stuff. They don’t offer that in the NFL.
