Depending of what Sam does it's setting up for us to get Deion in a couple of years

If Deion is able to turn it around in 2 years I could see us possibly getting him. If CSP has an underwhelming season next year I believe he will be on the hot seat going into 2024.
I know it's a long shot, but the scenario is there. FYI I want to Sam to succeed but I'm just not sure. His future will depend a lot on the D Coordinator and poosbily a new O Coordinator next year if Briles leaves.

Don’t think Deion is going anywhere without a big payday, or FSU calling…

If he tears it up at Colorado. He will be top SEC schools or FSU bound.

He isn't going to Arkansas. He will go for better jobs.

Didn't Yurachek interview him when we were looking for a coach last go around?

A courtesy interview, Jerry asked him to do so

Yes and he said he was impressive, but he also said he didn’t take Kiffin because of me first bullshite. And no one is me first more than Deion.

We were the CU job and we passed. His next job, assuming success, will be in the tier above us.

Exactly. The odds of him being successful enough for us to want him but not successful enough for a top 10 job are pretty slim.
Its like that year gus was supposed to come here from auburn. He would have had to go something like 8-4 for him to be good enough for us but dispensable from auburn. But then he won the iron bowl and all the sudden lost interest in us.

I'm pumping the brakes until I see his work at Colorado. Dude has certainly won the press conference, but I'll be interested to see how he fares when the talent gap isn't so dramatically in his favor.
And if the losses do start mounting, does that classic Prime Time ego kick in, and he starts throwing everyone associated with the program under the bus except for himself?
