Rev are you trying to tell us it’s Dabo….

Why would he come here when he has it so much easier at Clemson and in the ACC? And for the record, I hope he's not even in consideration. Dinosaur.

I think we are in the Darrell Walker/Chris Jans phase.

I don’t think it’s Morris or Wommack.

I’m gonna go with Golesh.

I'd be thrilled with that hire. Same with Morris or Chesney or Stein.

I hope so. Wommack is just an unacceptable hire and I refuse to believe he is a legitimate candidate. We can't be that desperate. But if we are down to the point of hiring Wommack, just keep Petrino and call it a day.

We’ll end up with a good coach. Wommack would probably end up being a very good hire but I understand as fans we wanna be excited by the name.

That’s usually not what happens with our searches. I like your confidence, but just saying

We have reached the point where keep Bobby and hire a good DC has become the better option to casual fan. Names like Womack, Socialist NIL Dabo, and Eric Morris won’t move the needle for them.

HY better be able to pull a rabbit from his butt or they may tar and feather him out of town.

That's not even being desperate, that's just the front street admission that an open Arkansas football job is nothing but a plaything and political theater for out of touch boosters. To disrespect the Arkansas fan base that boldly this many times is class action lawsuit worthy.

It would be an absolutely pathetic attempt at hiring a coach. HY can't be that fricking dumb. With all that has gone on with our program since the Chad Morris debacle and we follow it up with hiring Sam Pittman......next up is Wommack? No way in hell.

Attempt
[uh-tempt]

To make an effort at; try; undertake; seek

I don't know if I'd call that an attempt at a hire. Words like "effort" and "try" don't match that kind of result.

Not taking up for HY, but there isn't names out there to excite the casual fans.

You have the casual fans screaming Dan Mullen and James Franklin because that's a familiar name, they were in the SEC a decade ago.

You have Ole Miss, LSU and Florida in a bidding war for Lane. Not because he's won the sec, not because he's won the majority of his games against top 25 teams, not because he's ran rough shod over the SEC, but only because he's the biggest possibly available name out there right now.

The only other big names are all guys looking to move on and maximize their contract before being fired and watching their contract value plummet.

There isn't a huge pool of talent that is recognized by the average fan. The problem is HY knowledge of football falls into the casual fan category.

The last 4 suspected names are all miles better coaches than our previous two guys.

- Morris offense is just flat out dynamite, a balanced air raid is something to watch. His talent evaluation might be the best in the profession

- Golesh, called the #1 offense in the SEC, has the #2 offense in America right now, behind the guy listed above

- Wommack, has produced great defenses every where he has been, has the best defense in the SEC right now, top 10 nationally and has some HC experience, has the best season in South Alabama history

Compared to Pittman or Chaggie, this is light years better.

And they’re affordable. JF was my #1 option but we would have had to overpay to get him. Same with Lashlee but the money folk wanted him so whatever.
