Why are you so excited? He isn’t good. He can’t win a worse conference, when the good teams left.

You are hoping for Mullen or Chesney?

You have an unnatural allegiance to losers.. I’d say that’s not like you but you are an Arkansas fan.

Does him being the only coach at Iowa St to have a winning record since 1915 not matter?

He fits in here, super high lucky break seasons and gets 10-11 wins, then the next season 4 wins… I think most people pushing him have resigned themselves into accepting it, instead of being truly deeply feel it in their plums excited about it. And some really just want to be in the know, so they keep saying it.

I usually agree with you once consideration is given, but not now.

Campbell is a incredible coach. Take him with a decent NIL program, good assistants, and he will wreck shop within 3 years. I would predict a playoff appearance within that time frame.

But, keep on man! I still like BP with a higher talented DC and NIL as well though!

he won 11 games last year. He won 9 games a couple years before that. And then he’s had about 3 other seasons that are top 10 in Iowa state history

I still don’t think it’s Campbell because that would be right up there with hitting Petrino away from the Atlanta falcons in terms of coaching pull. The only reason big schools aren’t going after him is because they think it’s a waste of time.

Campbell is a great coach and so is BP with the right D coordinator.

You can say Campbell got some luck breaks but you need those at Iowa St and sometimes good coaches create their luck.

The thing I love most is his teams are disciplined. He may not be flashy but I don’t think we turn the ball over much if he’s the coach. I don’t think we blow 4th qtr leads I don’t think we lose to inferior competition

Pittman won 9 games a few seasons ago.. then went 20-23.

Campbell won 9 games a few seasons ago then went 18-20..

But then Campbell had another good 11 win season and is on the downward slide.

So maybe that’s what you want. A guy who can have 1 in 5 good season and 4 years of misery.

All this in a shittier conference.

If we don't keep BP, we'll look back on it in a few years and regret it as another asinine decision by our admin.

No, we won’t.

The team has gotten worse at this point. The offense has been dog shite the last few games.

That’s 100% on him.

For 1. we will have better talent than Iowa state, and 2. Yes! I’d love to have a great season every 3 or 4 years even if there’s 6 and 7 win seasons sandwiched in between. For the record he’s only had one losing season after his first year at Iowa state which was in 2022 when the portal first really affected teams and he followed that up with 7-6 then 11-3

I would've thought BP going 0-8 would be enough for our fans to finally flush their pipe dreams of a washed up BP taking us to the top.

What happened to the "he's going to win a few games he shouldnt" crowd? Literally same exact results as Pittman. His offense sucks. Time for fresh blood, fire everybody

I want ya'lls honest opinion, who are we getting or have the highest possibility to get? Are we waiting on the Lane Kiffin dominos to fall before we pull the trigger?

If we really are going after a defensive guy my guess would be Kane Womack. DC at Alabama.

You would curse his name. Just like we have the last 3 years of Pittman. You wouldn’t say I’m thankful for that one good season 4 years ago.

Think your over looking how difficult it is to get talent to Ames freaking Iowa. On top of being second fiddle to Iowa.

Prime example of someone doing more with less.

It won’t matter because we aren’t getting him.
