The discord is saying Golesh, Morris, Sumrall or Campbell, with things pointing at Golesh

Wow. It’s gotta be Campbell then, right?

Of the 4 listed Campbell is the only one I don’t recall hearing any chatter about being interviewed. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but that’s why I think it could be him.

But on the other hand I know he has turned down a bunch of jobs and has never discussed an opening during the season. So doesn’t sound as promising from that angle

He’s in year 10 with average of 7.5 wins per season and currently sitting 9th in the Big XII. I’ll give you it’s better than where we’ve been recently but he’s an average football coach at the end of the day.

Context matters in his situation.. he’s the only coach in over 100 years there with a winning record. Iowa St is probably the toughest job in America.

A big part of being a leader is seeing potential in people

It’s why there’s a Frank Broyles award

Our leadership hasn’t shown the ability to see that potential, so lets hope they go with someone proven.

Oh, I forgot the other discord tidbit, apparently Doug McMillan the Walmart CEO that just stepped down is starting an NIL initiative with Waltons and some other corporate big wig. That would be MASSIVE if true

I’ve pointed out multiple times as others have as well the circumstance around his record it’s not as simple as saying, oh he only averages 7.5 wins a season he’s a bad coach. He’s 3 time coach of the year for a reason. Dude can coach his balls off.

dude this is silly. We’re a top 25 program historically in college football. As bad as we’ve been We’ve still had more 8 win seasons in the past 25 years than Iowa state has in its history. They are historically a bottom 10 national team.

IF this is true, than we could legit buy and produce a dynasty with Wal-Mart money.

It would, I just don’t see the Walton’s caring about football until it finally spins off from the university and they can own it like a NFL team.

I’ve heard that Jim Walton’s (Arvest + Walmart) son wanted to run a NIL, but that was a message board rumor.

John Walton’s (Vietnam vet, green energy, Walmart money) son, who was raised not here has moved here recently and is trying to take over Walmart. The son’s mom is the radical one who donated supplies to the No Kings Protest.
