It is. He had 100 percent control over the O under Chad. He’s terrible. If they go with Sumrall he HAS to get a new OC.

Tulane stats currently:

84th in Scoring Offense
68th in Total Offense

Arkansas for comparison:

22nd in Scoring Offense
8th in Total Offense

Woof.

GM JImmy Johnson. He can do most of his work from Florida.

chances of Petrino being on staff, if not the HC are very, very small my friend.

I think, you already know this...

I’d be stoked if we could get Sumrall and keep Bobby as OC. That will never happen, and I am not positive Bobby wouldn’t undermine him at every turn.

I think everyone knows that. Bobby will backstab whoever he is under anyway. Be cool if we could say you are now the highest paid OC, and you get free pj trips once a month. Or whatever…

This. We don’t want Bob at the OC. Part of me hasn’t written off this season because I wouldn’t put it past Bobby to have been sand bagging to get Pittman fired.

They played and looked like shite, but they won. Something Pittboss could never do.

I prefer Mullen and Corey Dennis myself

As an OC your play calling can certainly be influenced by how much faith you have in your D. ND is the only game I thought we mailed it in on offense when it was obvious the D had no interest in even playing. I wouldn’t be putting anything on film just so we only lose by 4 TDs instead of 6.

I know we’ve struggled some in the 2nd half but if I remember correctly, we had 3-4 possessions in the 2nd half against Memphis. 2 of those end with a TO. They ran all over us and felt like dominated the time of possession. Hard to get going when you can’t get the ball.

Honestly I see Bobby winning 4 or 5 and us having to hire him.

I would prefer Mullen, Will Stein, Schumann or Sumrall (only reason he is so low is I believe he will leave for Kentucky, have 30m ish reasons he can’t be fired this year).

With Bobby my only stipulations would be so many fired with cause clauses.

50/50 games your buyout is whatever your % is in them.
Morality clauses.
Being a twat fines to fans who pay to see you speak. Auto extensions only come with 9+ wins. Renegotiating while under contract lowers the current year to 75%, unless started by board/AD.

Doesn’t have a lot of leverage, how many schools actually want him for anything other than an OC?

Gonna be straight with you...

I could give two shits what the next coaches name is or who it is...I just want them to win. From 2012 - Now it has sucked to be a Hog football fan.

If Bobby comes out and shows promise and gets this team bowl eligible, give him a shot. Even an old BP can be a motivated BP to get a chance to right his wrongs and the way it ended. And it doesnt have to be some long term deal...Get the program maybe a 10 win season and some 8 & 9 win seasons over the next four years, then he can move on when he is nearing 70 years old and then we are in a position to make a huge splash hire.

I am not saying Bobby is a sure thing...but I feel like him like I felt about Cal when we got him from UK...Cal has something to prove and you can see it...BP is going to have something to prove and I feel like we would see it.

The man is 20-23 his last 4 years as HC.

14-15 the past 3 as OC thats about as far away from a Cal hire one could get.

Lol that is very shortsighted. He took over a Missouri State program that was one of the worst in FCS and took them to the playoffs twice, that had made the playoffs twice in their entire history and not once in over 30 years.

He elevated that program so much they were able to become FBS this year.

You can tell a lot by how people view his stint at MSU. People love to use it to slander him when it's arguably one of the more impressive tenures on his resume.

What he did at MSU is way more impressive to me than these coaches that stack up pretty records at programs that already invest more than the bulk of their conference competition. It's much more indicative of what someone will be able to do here when they aren't at or near the top of the food chain in terms of spending and talent acquisition.

Not that we didn't already know that considering what he was able to do here the first time around while still recruiting classes in the mid 20s, but I digress.

Yeah he definitely googled his record and had no actual idea about his time there. He did wonders at MSU. Sure his last year wasn't good but that was motivation based, he interviewed for several jobs and wanted back in FBS.

As someone who lives in Springfield, what he did there to jump start the program was nothing short of a miracle. Their facilities, support, fanbase, etc was absolute dog shite. It’s now a fun ticket to go to and becoming better each year. If they turn out to be decent in CUSA it’s solely credited to what he started.

You completely missed the point. It was about showcasing his ability to do more with less than his competition, which should be a very high priority when looking for who we hire because we're never going to be at the top of this conference in raw talent acquisition.
