Means we’d be a top 25 team. Fine with me.

That would be such a monumental improvement.

Let's get tired of WINNING 7-8 games a year and going to a bowl game before we worry about winning 10 games a year.

I’d add 7-8 regular season games. I don’t like the numbers game some play where they try to make people look better than they are by posting 7-6 records

If we went 6-6 for 4 straight years with 9 conference games and a p4 game I don't know how anyone wouldn't sign up for that after the last 4 years we've had. Listen I want more than that but I'm just trying to at least have realistic expectations to start with.

Some of yall are ok with “Bobby’s great at 2-8” and you are in the next breath making some of someone who just wants a winning record. Ever heard of crawl before you walk?
After this hot mess, I’ll take 6 wins next year right now and call it a success. Do I want 10? Heck yes, but get us back to competitive and show me improvement.

Is Golesh the guy? Did we ever get confirmation?

All Bobby had to do was win a couple of games. Instead, he shite the bed against State and Aubbie.

He refused to bench Tay Tay when it was obvious to Stevie Wonder and everyone else that he was trash, (Bobby's hand picked QB)

His offense constantly stalled in the red zone when we needed points.

I am and always will be a huge fan of Bobby. That run he had was some of the best years for me as a hog fan.
His time is up and the chapter must be closed.

Quit defending your hero man. He had a damn good run and a second chance.
Yeah, none of this is the point. Everyone knows he's not getting the job. Not liking Bobby isn't the problem. If you want to blame this team on him as an interim coach despite the obvious flaws in that line of thinking, go ahead. That's simply a matter of opinion. People making issues up that aren't even true out of thin air and talking out of their arse is a problem, however.

Like this. We're top 25 in the country in red zone efficiency. We have the exact same scoring percentage as Georgia and Alabama at 90.24%. That's 8% better than the team that won 7 games last year. Ohio State has a worse red zone conversion rate than we do.

If you want to get mad at me calling people out on their stupid and emotional takes that only have basis in their warped perception of this season and backing it up with proof, that's your problem.

1 yd difference.
Using your lingo, that's a zillion and one yards.

USF is 15th in turnover margin, we are 130th.
Because their defense isn't a heaping pile of shite like ours and actually generates turnovers. Their offense averages 1.4 turnovers a game. We average 1.8. They're also penalized more, and the difference would be even more stark if not for the petty fit the refs threw in the State game. Acting like Golesh's offense is some masterclass in discipline and ball security when compared to Petrino's is hilarious. The differences are marginal.

That run of success he went on as HC certainly proved his merit. My God he turned the season around by beating teams in a complete free fall. Wins! That is all Bobby P gave us! Wins!

Arkansas is near the bottom of FBS in turnover margin at 128th. USF is tied for 15th in turnover margin. So okay, you have some penalties but you also have a ball hawking defense that produces turnovers to cancel some penalties out.
How is that a Petrino problem? He had no hand in recruiting or developing the defense we have now.

... So. We are the worst team in the country at turning the ball over. But that can't be Petrino's fault because he didn't pick our defense.

Makes sense to me.

The post I replied to was specifically talking about defense being able to negate penalties by forcing turnovers.

Golesh and the bulls had 3 turnovers against north Texas and still hung 63. We need whatever that is for the record I agree with you Bobby isn’t the issue. He was saddled with a historically bad defense which shouldn’t fall to his feet. Although it did seem like his offense which was good on paper could never get the job done when it mattered most. Turning the ball over 4 times against Auburn as example no.1. If the boosters supported him he would do well here in time but I think golesh will do fine as well.

I preferred Morris, but I'm fine with Golesh. I don't hate the hire. That's not what this is about.

My whole thing is there's enough to criticize about this team without having to just make crap up.

I just don't buy this. People were pissed Pittman wasn't fired for going 7-6 last season.
