you're picking Bobby

Yes, Bobby has coached a Heisman Award winner and I think he's a better overall coach. His teams always play to the whistle for 60 minutes of football.

In the age of NIL Kiff has gone 44-18 at Ole Miss. Too me he's a lot like Houston Nutt, can get his team up for the big game but the one's he's supposed to dominate they either lose or barely squeak by. See our game with them this year and I believe if that game would have been in Fayetteville he would have lost.

You have boomers and gen X and millennials who only watch 4 hours of ball on Saturdays and they are all screaming for retread names, because that’s all they’ve heard.

Gruden, Franklin, Urban Meyer, Bobby, etc…

I believe we need fresh blood. The only retread I would be happy with is Mullen and Bobby. But both would need an incredible GM.

That's a bit of strange measuring stick for me. Gene Chizik, Ed Orgeron, Jimbo Fisher, and Deion Sanders have also recently coached a Heisman winner. And Houston Nutt should have coached a Heisman.

Think I’d rather have Will Stein with his former head coach, Charlie Strong running defense.

Your an odd duck sometimes... Petrino is the best we have had since??? Well??? Nutt wasn't better imho, so who?

I would be fine with bobby, but I swear, if we go after the OC at Mizzou, etc... I will simply put the tix on stubhub at the beginning of every season. As long as I still make $$ from them

I still don’t understand why they outsourced that, just like I have no idea why they outsource second hand ticket sales through seat geek.

There’s no telling how much money the athletics department (or foundation) is passing up by using Seat Geek. It’s pretty damn simple…create your own ticket e-commerce resale site which you link from your ticket pages, like they do Seat Geek, the UA collects the fees = profit. It’s not rocket surgery.

I would also imagine most Hog fans would be okay with paying a resale ticket fee or a sellers fee knowing the money is going back to athletes.

This. They pissed away all that money when there is plenty of talent on campus to create a site for ticket sales and why have an outside company manage NIL. Hell, we have the Walton School of business on campus. HY should be fired for this. Be curious about money finding it's way back to the people in charge.

Some firm likely told them to do this and told tnem it would be easier than trying to do it themselves and they needed to hire "experts" to handle it.

This is a really pervasive line of thinking nowadays in Corporate America. Companies convince themselves they don't have the capability in house to do something, then they just outsource the task for 10x the price instead of hiring a team to do it in house.

They likely do this to make their bottom line look better on employee expenses and they probably would not have gotten approval to hire a 3-5 man team anaywya, but in actuality, the outsourcing is shite and it costs significantly more. See it all the time.

It's pretty indicative of a poorly structured company or dept.

Why do people want Dan Mullen? He got fired because he couldn’t recruit to FLORIDA and people want him here?

I feel like Petrino and Mullen have the similar appeal of X's and O's master who can use NIL to bolster recruiting. Both have had success at lower tier programs (us and MSU). I like that Mullen is in his 50's as opposed to Petrino's age

I prefer a younger candidate who could be more dynamic but Mullen and Petrino are a high floor

He lost his job because he waited too late to make changes on his defensive staff. According to 247, his class rankings were below...

2018: #14
2019: #9
2020: #7
2021: #12

I would not necessarily say recruiting was his big issue. The Florida defense in his last two seasons and him hitching his wagon to Todd Grantham was his biggest issue. See Grantham getting let go from Oklahoma State just a few weeks ago and how abysmal his defenses usually are.

Yeah not sure on Mullen especially given his stint at Florida.

I will say about both Mullen and Petrino, neither has achieved the highest level of success. Maybe they still have some fire and drive left.

Saban, Meyer, Gruden, Stoops, Jimbo, etc have all won championships. So did Danny Ford. I really hope we don’t overpay for past performance to guys who might be checked out.

2 things here. 1, Agree completely. Even spoke to the athletic department about such. How simple it was to do, etc.
2. See Jerry Jones... He has a big hand in seatgeek, etc. I remember how terrible seatgeek was to work with when compared to SH, RG, VS, etc... and they still are
