my Aunt lived behind Walmart. We thought she was big stuff because she had a pool. That area changed so much in the last 30 years.

Tough shite. Don’t act like trash, and no one will call a spade a spade.

In this thread....

But dude, he isn't wrong. When we see our hometowns, where we grew up, become Pine Bluff North because of crime, drugs, and now even human trafficking ...

It wasn't there prior to the movement from the crap holes.

To those folks, those towns... wash the crap out of your own sheet, prior to attempting to lay down on mine...

Are you saying everyone is equal and nobody is better or worse than anyone else?

Because that’s what you just said.

Some might call a murdering rapist thief a piece of trash, Pocket Kingz calls them an upstanding citizen.

I think he's saying that constantly being exposed to negativity is exhausting.

No doubt. The news and politicians are great sources of negativity.

Calling a trashy human a piece of trash is not being negative, it’s stating a fact.

I got news for you bud.... that shite has always been there. It might seem more prevalent, but that's because of social media. There's always been some lowlife whoring out their stepdaughter to their friends for some extra crank. It just looks different than it did before. I grew up in the Conway area, and I grew up "high class" but with a brother who basically starred in that Meth documentary about the Clinton area. All of that dysfunction has nothing to do with people moving in... it was born and raised there.

you can't be serious... Speaking in such an absolute, lmao!

No, no it wasn't. Of course there are always things beneath the surface, but not like it has become for sure.

Man I’ve had the direct opposite experience. My hometown has gone from being a sleepy, small farm town to a wealthy suburb of Fayetteville. It’s so much different now than when I grew up there but it’s because there’s so much money there now versus crime and drugs.

But you all pretend like it was some leave it to beaver utopia before which is the whole reason the 60s counterculture happened: willful ignorance of the seedy underbelly that exists in society. When it’s a bunch of white trash that makes sense to you, then it’s okay. But let it have a little color to it, and it suddenly is out of control and scary.

That being said: society is definitely changing, but it doesn’t have anything to do with the bad crowd moving from Little Rock to Conway or from Conway to Greenbrier or from Greenbrier to Clinton. Things are just changing. And it’s not because some bad element is moving into your little Pleasantville.

There are weird fricks in conway that were not accepted even 10 years ago, that drive right up to the school in their tranny attire and pick up their non binary kids.

That shite DID NOT exist until recently.

If the worst you got going on is a trans person picking their kid up from school in your town, then things are good. How about the kids who have no one to pick them up. Or who are getting picked up by a step dad who molests them. Or going home to a house with 20 other people all flopping on the floor or doesn’t know where they are sleeping that night.

And guess what? All the above was happening before the big city liberals and rainbow flag trans and el Salvadoran MS-13 devil gangs and all the other stuff Fox News has you all wound up about ever came into your minds. You just didn’t see it and didn’t care.

Your assumption and small sample size doesn’t equal reality

I reiterate that myself and family have worked in the real estate industry in central Arkansas since the 60’s. We’re seeing what I’m talking about happen on the front lines in real time.

I know what I know. I lived it for 32 years. and I got the frick out.

Yes, there is no such thing as a Utopia, however the majority of the changes for the negative were not nearly as pronounced until after the bus rides from West Memphis to the projects etc.

The Government would pay more if they would accept some of the folks... and the town accepted the $$$ and have been paying for it ever since.

Last time I was as walmart there, Cops were in riot gear around Christmas. 15 years ago, notta.

But you be you brah!

Every time I see his name I hear Peter Frampton in The Do You Feel Like We Do Frampton Comes Alive performance saying, “ Buck Mann on the keyboards, Buck Mann.” Although supposedly he said, “Bob Mayo.” #thingsthatkeepyouawakeatnight

I've always heard it as 'Bob Mayo'.
Picked up a CD copy of FCA a while back for a couple of bucks. Listening to it takes me back in time when we mostly heard it on 8 track, cruising some backroad, with open beer containers.
