I know people who coached both Allens and they defintely say that Austin has more of a gunslinger attitude.

Part of the endgame Moxy yiu all are wanting involves being a gunslinger and having that attitude (and a certain amount of DGAF attitude).

Rex Grossman style.
Or Jay Cutler.

Or are you expecting Favre?

Question...Is it the thought AA isn't getting a fair shot and BA is the QB regardless?

I mean...we know coaches that give priority to seniors, but I don't think CBB is in a position with his current record at Arkansas

He's had that in the past and most were pissed with the INTs that resulted on the final drives.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Games do not come down to a play or a final play, this is not where games are won/lost, but many get hung up on the final sequence of events and ignore/forget all the events that caused the game to still be in doubt leading to the final moments, this is true in all sports.

AA has not looked better or worse than his brother at the same point in their careers (RS FR/ RS Soph) in the game time he has seen.

He certainly has not looked better than his brother in the same games against the same competition he has came in to replace his brother.

But, there were some who thought Tyler Wilson had more talent, a brighter future, and was a better pro prospect than Ryan Mallett and couldn't under stand why Tyler wasn't give more of an opportunity to play over Mallett.

The only time we've seen a coach voluntarily try all the QBs was in 08, because one of the others *had* to be better than Senior Dick, and it was time to get a jump start on the future. While Wilson ended up being a better QB, True Freshman Wilson was no where near Senior Dick at that time, neither was Little Dick. Honestly, this musical chairs at QB probably kept us from going to a bowl that season (among other factors in games).

I'm definitely not calling for AA. Personally I think BA is a pretty darned good QB and will certainly not be the problem with our team this year. I was mainly just passing along what Ive been told about AA and BA. That DGAF attitude is also not something Bielema seemed to like much judging by his comments about AA's maturation over the last year.

Austin will have his opportunity next season to compete with Town. I just don't see Peavy or Storey beating him out. He has been groomed to be a QB and the only one that ever worked under center at similar stages in their career while using the PA game.

I've only seen his film from high school

The back up QB is the fanbase's favorite QB unless a team has a truly elite QB.

Except at Arkansas when we do have a truly elite QB, the back up QB is still a favorite for some.

It is not always high sometimes its an opponents chest. Primarily on potential game winning drives.

This causes me so much pain! Cutlers smug no fricks given look after sealing the game for an opponent pisses me off to no end.

BA did enough to win this game period. He is 3rd in Arkansas history for Passes / Ints rankings.

This loss was not on BA, and we need to move on from this thought process.

It was on the oline not being able to toughen up enough and open holes, the running game for not hitting the holes provided correctly, a missed FG and primarily the Coaches for all of the above.

The coaches should, and I believe are manning up to accept the responsibility and hopefully do something about it.

The elephant in the room is the missed redzone opportunities.

This has been a problem for a years now.

BA grabs too much of that blame.

Pittman and Enos need to get the problem fixed.
