Saw some excellent shows at the Amp this year: Primus/Mastodon, Napalm Death/Testament/Anthrax/Lamb of God/Slayer.

Did they open? I didn't go but if I did, that's who I would have been excited to see. That's too bad.

Yep, the old man is horrible, needs to let the others sing.

From NWAhomepage.com:

FPD arrested seven people for mostly alcohol related issues. All were local except for one.

No surprise there. That’s the way it is every year. People think they can show their arse because oh, look, bikers. Even seven is a low number though; usually three times that.

Is it just me or did the rally seem smaller this year?

It isn't what it was just a few years ago, based on my own observations.

I appears the "Easy Rider" generation is dying out and the "Sons of Anarchy" generation can't afford motorcycles.

It seemed like there was less traffic than in previous years.

got to meet claypool in Philadelphia a while back with a super VIP package. it was awesome. even came with a wine tasting from his vineyard. apparently he quit hallucinagens and only smokes a little weed. wanted to remember his kids childhood or something like that.

My GF saw him at some small venue in Kansas the day after Christmas years ago. It was a small crowd and he hung out afterwards chatting everybody up.

super cool pretty normal dude. most of those bands like that are either led by assholes or total burnouts.

My favorite show ever was Primus at Wakarusa in 2012, he told a story about Ted Nugent being able to knock the balls off a water buffalo at 50 paces using only his Fender Stratocaster guitar.

There was a giant octopus in the crowd and Les challenged Larry to blow the balls off it using his Fender Stratocaster guitar. Then Larry started to shred and the octopus slowly backed away. Les said "Larry you've done it! You repelled the octopi threat." It was awesome and I was also on LSD with my shirt off drinking wine.

In the United States, as of 2017, about 10% of people have used LSD at some point in their life, while 0.7% have used it in the last year.

Congrats on being less than 1 percent user

It's been getting smaller for years now. They will look at some drone photos and say 500,000 bikes attended though... they do every year.

I will be in an undisclosed area on the Buffalo this weekend. Don't ask me where, because there's a couple places you can still go and find good camping spots in a campground that is not full of meth heads.

I fricking hate BBBBBBQ

Since I've graduated I have missed Fayetteville immensely but this is the one weekend I don't miss at all. Bunch of assholes who can't drive, loud as shite bikes that annoy the hell out of you, and smog and exhaust fumes so pungent it will give you 3 years worth of pack-a-day cigareete tar & CO2 intake in a matter of hours. Never again lol.

That’s crazy. I had no idea. Haven’t seen any advertising at all this year for it.
