Resume for discussion:
Live in Fayetteville
Work in Rogers/Upton/pinnacle/MiniDallas

The development in uptown Rogers is sweet. Fayetteville is miles better than Bentonville in my opinion though. Reason 1 should be relevant to everyone in here. Arkansas sports. I attend every single basketball game and about half the baseball games. This wouldn’t be achievable for me in Bentonville.

Reason 2 is traffic in Bentonville is for the birds. There are only two streets and it’s packed with Walmartians m-f.

Cant argue Rogers is getting all the shiny new stuff, but for obvious reasons

Any amount of time spent on trying to suffocate local food trucks with a stryofoam ban is too much time.

Winter is coming for Fayetteville:
UA relaxes academic standards for out-of-staters
UA applications dip again this fall, school cites drop off in out of staters

When the Texas well starts drying up, you will be able to rent an entire floor of the Cardinal for $800.

Moral of the story: Eventually the education/student loan/tuition hike bubble has to pop. Spend less time on frivolous stuff.

Recommendation: Try Tony's NY Style Pizza on Dickson before it gets suffocated by Dickson rents. It's not bad.

In Washington County, local restaurants outperform chains.

The only new restaurants that have survived are the Texas chains. Torchy's, Whataburger, etc. Hell, 6th street may as well be chicken finger chain row. Just read the Fayetteville Flyer restaurant updates. Multiple listings each time with local restaurants folding while adding new chains.

Sure, Sassy's, Penguin Ed's, Herman's, Hugo's are doing well. But outside of that, its Chainville now.

OK. I guess the Walton College Center for Business & Economic Research is wrong, and your anecdotal review of the Flyer is right.

College enrollment has been declining for eight straight years. It's a national trend.

Enrollment dropped by a whopping 300 people. Meanwhile, average ACT is a record high, retention and graduation rates are at record highs, and 51% are Arkansas students (22% from Texas - "majority are Texans" is bs).

Many have been saying slow the growth and improve quality-this is precisely what's happening at UA right now

Feel free to bump when this happens. Until then you are a fool

Precisely my point. Fayetteville needs to diversify its economy to maintain its current state.

Idk what the Walton college % is but I can practically guarantee you it's way higher than that. Between all out of staters I would be very surprised if Walton college is not at least 65% out of state students.

In my 20's I would rather be in Fayetteville, but I think Bentonville is much better for people in their 30's and above.

Some of the finer wings I've ran across anywhere in my travels, tbh.

The Rail has really good wings. Hadn't tried anything but pizza there until someone recommended them.

Undergrad Walton college

2233 Texas students / 6141 total = 36.3%
2541 Arkansas / 6141 = 41.3%

Higher than what I thought. Not too far off. Probably 5% or so international but it is a majority out of state students
