Siloam’s downtown doesn’t suck. It’s just a long way from anything. Our group of friends (couples) were soinf an evening out once a month in different regional downtowns. We did Siloam and had a great time down at a taproom on the river.

Wait, going back to the OP. Is that map accurate? I thought they'd already started Top Golf and it was basically next to that WM Neighborhood mArket? So much development on that exit it's hard to keep up with.

Map is accurate. They won't break ground until next year and grand opening won't be until 2020.

well I guess it's still a big secret what the current Walmart HQ will become after they move HQ over to J Street/Central/14th St area Already cafeterias and office space obviously. Although I doubt any little quaint college would want that ugly arse current HQ to be their facilities

I always just assumed they'd turn it onto storage space. Or maybe they'll do something like the old non-Supercenter Walmart store on MLK. It's now the Optical Lab, one of three in the nation where Walmart manufactures their eyewear.

Some more office buildings, then a "high-end" outdoor mall and a hotel. Can't find the renderings for that right now.

So pretty much that entire area south and southwest of the Amp is going to be new mixed-use development. That's a pretty big area.

TopGolf coming along
6 story Northgate Plaza almost done

Add another 5 story office building to Pinnacle: Another Hunt building planned for Pinnacle area in Rogers

Fayetteville's Cultural Arts Corridor is going to be pretty damned nice and pave the way for (even more) sweet, sweet gentrification.

Theater Squared building is also badass.

Millsap's Mountain Park is going to be amazing and host the World Cyclocross championships. When Millaps and Kessler are connected via a tunnel on MLK, that should be a pretty amazing area.

UofA is creating an Entrepreneur "Village" on Block and Dickson.

It's not like Fayetteville is just a wasteland. The only areas I wish it would catch up to Bentonville in is trail connectivity and cuisine. The rest of this cookie cutter Overland Park / Frisco bullshite can stay up north as far as I'm concerned. At least downtown Rogers is staying cool, because Pinnacle is the pits.

More of an illustration of the asinine crap that Fayetteville spends it's time worrying about. Then being bewildered when businesses head north.

How much time was wasted worrying about it? I'd guess not much. Seems like a weird thing to be against.

Business locates north because the median household income is $10k higher, not because of city council policies. Top golf corporate isn't reviewing the Flyer. Another scapegoat is "how hard it is to develop in Fayetteville". Total bunk. Bentonville is the hardest city to develop in by far right now. But somehow people are finding a way!!

In Washington County, local restaurants outperform chains. Very rare, especially in growing regions. Give me that community over all the Top Golf and astroturf downtown shite

Styrofoam is non-biodegradable and non-recyclable, that's why they're against it. It's a trend across liberal cities in the nation. Plastic is also non-biodegradable but it is perferable enviornmentally since it is recyclable.

I understand that. I'm just confused why Ronaldo is convinced Fayetteville is discouraging business with asinine policies. Moving away from Styrofoam is a no-brainer and probably didnt take a lot of effort or deliberation to decide to ban.
