Surprised there isn't a thread on this. In years past these types of games have been too close or even losses. Nice to see our team come out and look like the Razorbacks again.

Twitter has been trying to tell me that this Samford team is good. Can any of you folks that follow NCAAB closely corroborate this story?
Also, does this mean that we’ll eventually cherry pick one of their coaches that impressed us tonight?

I'll stab my a-hole with an Ice pick if this happens again.

I'm no expert, but they are supposed to be very solid on offense.

Samford posted a 20-16 record last year and reached the 20-win plateau for the first time in 11 years.
The Bulldogs return 12 of their 13 players from a season ago, including 97-percent of their scoring production.

They were ranked 20th in the mid major top25 and projected to be a probable tourney team.
Bucknell is ranked 6th in the mid major top 25 and returns basically the same team from a year ago.
So yes two difficult games to start a season based on the numbers not the name on the jersey ( both better than Iowa State for example).

More proof at how Far Jeffrey Long has lowered our expectations. People having to build up Sanford and Bucknell.
We used to be ARKANSAS

Super impressed with Jones, Bailey and Gafford.
The guards will carry us as well, depth is a concern at this point but super excited for this season.

They were expected to be a good test out the gate. One of the better three point shooting teams in the nation.
Hog defense held them to like 25% from the field.
Team had 28 assists. Midseason form in the first game.
Hogs hoop team is legit as frick.

The effort on D and the thought speed in switching and running out to shooters was really impressive and a total continuation of where the team was late last season.
Under Mike, our defenses never really come together until mid-conference play it seems. This team looks different. The length, especially from the 2nd team and newer guys, was really noticeable.
