The bullies down low now days are in the Corliss mold, not real tall, solid build who can run the floor.
Block to block post players who can't run the floor are a thing of the past, no one likes playing 5 on 4 defense or watching your post players get blown by the opposing teams pg on top of the key all game long.

Davis was the #2 ranked transfer last year, Johnson is #23.
Davis was a senior with a ton of experience and averaged 18ppg the year before, Johnson 7ppg as a freshman.
As soon as I saw bidding war I knew Cal wouldn't go that high, there are bigger fish out there worth spending more on.

I mean.... If he's willing to do the 2 year thing to make it work, why not. But I don't think his name carries the value it did a year ago.

He’s still projected to be a lottery pick. He’d be here one year. It’s not worth it unless he’s willing to take a massive discount, and even then I’d still want two other centers since his injury could flare up again/he may not play to the same level again, and that could make it harder to get quality bigs.
