I’m going to keep saying this, but this is the worst defense we’ve fielded in the DVH era.

Coming into this game we already committed more errors than last year’s team did all season, and we added 2 more (1 of which scored a run).

This team is just not good in any facet of the game.

Georgia got run-ruled by Georgia Tech.

SEC is down in general, and we're in a ditch.

To be fair, Georgia Tech is really good this year.

Good win, this team late in games is something else.

Kozeal has somehow regressed from last year. That dude was steady Eddie last year. Now he just looks uncomfortable up there.

No he hasn't, his OBP and OPS are both higher this year and slugging is .002 different. He's better than last year.

I love Kozeal, but his SEC stats have not been good this year.

In conference games he’s batting .187 with an OPS of .597 and just 6 extra base hits.

Conversely, last year in SEC play he batted .333 with an OPS of 1.011.

He has more walks than all of last year and less strikeouts, leading to the higher OBP and OPS. And 4 HR's shy of last years total with a month to go so likely will hit more HR's too.

Sec Stats

Batting Avg. 10th .274
ERA. 10th 4.41
Fielding % 11th .973

We would need a massive turnaround to get out of a regional this season.

Good W last night. Scored the go-ahead runs in the 8th inning yet again. Great outing from Dietz after the rough 1st inning

That is definitely this teams MO. Late in games it feels like if it's remotely close they can come back late vs any bullpen. Probably going to be key against top tier pitching in the tournament to have quality AB's early and work pitch counts.
