Do we have the pitching to make another deep postseason run? With the emergence of Connor Noland, I feel like our 3 starters are more than adequate. Our bullpen is shaky at best.
Overall, I like this team. I also appreciate the road series wins this season. Whoever comes out of the West is going to be more than battle tested.

Yeah I don't think we have the bullpen, even Cronin has had some shaky issues. Rest of the guys are basically a coin flip out there.
A regional with a couple tough teams that turns into a battle of bullpens worries me more than a BO3 super.

I sure hope we finally beat LSU this season. I'm tired of having to hear about it from our swamp neighbors.

Keys to post season pitching...
- Need Scroggins back
- Need Ramage to get his groove back
- Need Kostyshock to get back to form
- Need Vermillion healthy
- Need Noland and Wicklander to continue strong
- Need Cronin to go back to being Cronin

I wish we had a Loseke or Reindl back.

I mean...Kopps, Vermillion, Scroggins, Ramage, Kostyshock, Cronin, and Trest as of late have been solid and those are a good bunch(numbers wise).
I think the key to this entire thing going forward is going to be us continuing to get 5+ innings out of Wicklander and Noland. Bullpen arms don’t matter if Noland can’t finish an inning or Wicklander can’t maintain control through 3.
IF Noland and Wicklander stay solid, our bullpen is more than capable to handle 7-10 innings a series.

And yet I wouldn't trust any of those guys outside of Cronin in any big situation in the postseason against a good team.

I probably trust Kopps over all relievers currently

In D1 Baseball Week 11 Top 25 chat:
HamSolo: How far do you think Arkansas can go in the NCAAT?
Kendall Rogers: Ham — I think Arkansas could win the national title, I really do. I do have Aaron’s concern about those two freshmen in the rotation come postseason time, but Noland, especially, has thrown well as of late. I do believe in the bullpen and Campbell is elite. If those other two starters pitch well, the sky is the limit for DVH’s club, IMO.

WTF?
That wasn't me. I might need to cancel my credit cards, someone has stolen my identity.

Another one from D1 Baseball chat:
Sid: Any chance the SEC gets four national seeds? If not, which set of dawgs is on the outside looking in? I’ll apologize prior to any ill will I bring upon you if the answer is yes.
Aaron Fitt: I think there’s a very realistic chance the SEC gets four of the top 8 seeds, yes. Certainly you’ve got to feel like Vandy and Arkansas are slam dunks at the moment, and now Mississippi State is ahead of Georgia in the pecking order after that sweep this weekend. But UGa is still right in the mix with a 13-8 SEC record and a No. 4 RPI.

From Baseball America Week 11 Top 25 chat:
CHRIS (Jackson MS):
Why is it that OSU is ranked above either of the 3 following ranking SEC teams below them... Vanderbilt, Arkansas, MSU??? Where does their strength of schedule compare to the 3 SEC teams??
Teddy Cahill: Well, Oregon State is not ranked above Vanderbilt, which is No. 3. Why are the Beavers ahead of the Hogs and Bulldogs? it certainly helps that they only have one losing weekend, while Arkansas and Mississippi State have two. As for strength of schedule, Arkansas' is much better at No. 6, but Mississippi State and Oregon State are back-to-back at Nos. 25 and 26. Also, shoutout to this being the first time all year anyone has thought we had Oregon State ranked too high.
Mitch (Sherwood Ar):
Went to the Arkansas-Tennessee series over the weekend, do you think Arkansas hitting will carry them to Omaha after making the nation best ERA look just ordinary? Arkansas looks like they need to find at least two more pitchers to step up and they could be where they were last year.
Teddy Cahill: Yes, I think Arkansas is an Omaha team. Yes, it needs more pitching if it's going to win a national title. Said all of that a week ago. The way the Hogs play in Baum Stadium they're incredibly tough to beat and they've positioned themselves very well to stay at home through regionals and super regionals. It's a powerful offense and that consistency has played well this year.
