I don’t like that 8 seed line

Latest projection I saw had us as the 8 in the West with Kansas as the 1 in Las Vegas. Would be a lot sweeter than Buffalo.

7 seed or 10,11 seed please.

We need to beat one of Alabama or Tennessee and beat Kentucky to get a 7. Lose out and we’re a 10 or 11. Just beat Kentucky and we’re an 8/9.
Not afraid of the 8/9 line, we can play with anybody when we’re clicking and it will be a neutral floor.

I believe 9 seeds have just a hair higher winning % in the 9/8 games. Makes sense that you take two very evenly matched teams and let one think they’re the “underdog” then the “underdog” is going to have an edge.

Some things just don't make sense with the brackets....
Duke seeded higher than Arkansas with a Net of 30, SOS of 34 and 13 games against Q3 and Q4 teams. 3 wins against Q1 teams, same as Arkansas. Away from home record (Road and neutral) of 6-8. They do have an 11-6 conference record, but OOC SOS is 52 and the ACC is rated as the 7th best league this year.
And don't get me started on UCONN being on the 4 seed line as well as Tennessee still being on the 3 seed line with 8 losses.

I think if we hit the 2-1 mark to finish we are in good shape for the 6 line. That will add two more Q1 wins (if UK doesnt shite the bed).
I would prefer us to get the 6 or 7 seed for the SEC Tourney if Kentucky maintains the 3 seed spot. That either puts Arkansas playing Texas A&M or UK in the Quarterfinals, which is another Q1 opportunity.

This one I get, they’ve beat Kansas, Texas and Bama. They’re getting a lot of mileage out of those wins. Their OOC schedule is insane and their worst loss is on the road at Vandy on a buzzer beater.

I get your point…but I’d counter with they’ve lost 5 of their last 7. 8 Q1 & Q2 wins (1 more than Ark). While not necessarily seen in the Net, the loss to Colorado is also an ugly loss.

Net up to 14 this morning. SOS up to 4. Need some wins though.

This is one of the only years I care if we make a run in the SEC tourney. Most years I would prefer we rest up. With this bunch though I feel like the more games we get to gel on the court the stronger we get. Great bunch to go on a tear and get an SEC tourney trophy.

The committee has consistently shown they don't give a shite what happens in conference tourney's. The only thing that changes them is teams winning that otherwise wouldn't be in.
2 wins, we are a 7, 1-1 an 8 and 2 losses a 10 IMO.

Personally I’m an NCAA tournament or bust fan. I don’t care about regular season or sec tourney wins as long as we make the dance. And seeds don’t matter to me either since we’ll have to play good teams sooner or later.
We’re going to be a headache for anyone in postseason.

Lunardi moved us around a little today. Still an 8 seed vs Pittsburgh. Second round vs Purdue. Now in the East.
