The OL that previously committed to us from WVU

I don’t think he’d committed to us, just planned a visit. Bussell is the WVU OL that we signed.

I think that I have faith in the new football only GM. Hopefully some of these pan out and we can be competitive. Hard for the DB group to be worse and the LBs, that have been signed, seem to be highly sought after.

Arkansas up to #8 in the portal class rankings (Their proprietory algorithm [Gains in comparison to previous roster]) for On3. That's third in the SEC.
Oklahoma State (Morris) at 20
Auburn (Golesh) at 63

I wonder what the heck is happening at Auburn with Golesh? I'm sure Auburn has plenty of money and he was thought of as a really good hire.

Don't worry the analytics say Golesh has only underperformed his roster by 2 wins per year.
Still not the worst in the SEC at underperforming the roster talent, that crown goes to Sark.
Silverfield has been neutral during his HC career.

If that means mediocrity, then sign me up.
I long for Houston Nutt-level success where we win 9 games every 3 years and 7 games in all the other seasons.

Same analytics says Arkansas had bottom 4 talent while having the toughest SEC conference schedule for the next 4 years.
This falls at the feet of Hunter, Arkansas had been at the top of strength of schedule since Frank left.
Arkansas continually gets fricked in football, play tenner for the third straight year and get to go to Texas for the second year in a row.
In basketball the schedule is continually stacked with home and homes with RPI SOS killers while play more of the top of the league on the road than at home.
All because the AD allows this to happen, but hey when you are trying to schedule home and homes with Michigan and Notre Dame the SEC just figures you must be up to the challenge.

Those two don't really bother me. They're changing the format. We get Missouri twice in a row at home. The Tennessee game is at least on campus. I'd rather play the Vols than OU, honestly. OU should be next on the rotation.
The screwings that stick out to me was in '14 after Auburn went to the national championship game and we went winless in '13, Arkansas has to open AT Auburn. The return game has never happened. Just a one-off, scheduled loss.
Also, in Covid year when the conference added two more games for a 10-game schedule, and they give us Georgia and Florida. Granted Arkansas had just come off back-to-back 2-10 seasons and hadn't won a conference game in 3 years. Do we get Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Kentucky, or Tennessee (who was arse at the time)? No. Open with UGA and on the road at UF.
Laughable.
