JUNE VISITORS
The Hogs hosted eight Class of 2022 visitors in the month of June in both official and unofficial capacities in what became one of the largest collections of top-end talent to ever invade Fayetteville in such a short period of time. Here's a snapshot of where those prospects stand in the update and how much their ranking has changed.
No. 10 Kijani Wright (-2)
No. 17 Kel'el Ware (+22, elevated to 5-star)
No. 41 Zuby Ejiofor (-4)
No. 60 Derrian Ford (-12)
No. 74 Barry Dunning (-29)
No. 88 Jordan Walsh (+25)
No. 129 Ramel Lloyd Jr. (-32)
No. 138 Joseph Pinion (+1)

LONG-TERM TARGETS
Not everyone was able to set up and take a visit to The Hill in June, but that doesn't mean Arkansas is no longer involved in recruiting them. In fact, there are already a couple more visits scheduled with others potentially in the works in the coming months. Here's a look at several offers who Arkansas has been in it with for the long haul.
No. 19 Cason Wallace (-4)
No. 20 Nick Smith Jr (+2, elevated to 5-star, visiting September 10-12)
No. 34 Richard Isaacs Jr (-10)
No. 50 Joseph Hunter (-4)
No. 51 Aidan Shaw (-7, visiting August 6-8)
No. 73 Rylan Griffen (-3)
No. 82 Austin Nunez (-5)
No. 128 Colin Smith (-16)

NEW OFFERS
Arkansas has also extended out a number of new offers in the 2022 class since early May. Part of that is due to late-bloomers bursting onto the scene after big high school and spring seasons. The Razorbacks have also had some changes to the coaching staff with the additions of new assistants Gus Argenal and Keith Smart, who come with their own connections and evaluations.
No. 16 Anthony Black (+69, elevated to 5-star, offered by Arkansas on May 14)
No. 22 Ernest Udeh Jr (previously unranked, elevated to 5-star, offered by Arkansas on June 28)
No. 38 Dillon Mitchell (+106, offered by Arkansas on May 24)
No. 59 Chris Bunch (+28, offered by Arkansas on May 7)
No. 126 Josh Reed (previously unranked, offered by Arkansas on May 21)

Two coveted instate prospects and Arkansas targets, Kel'el Ware (North Little Rock) and Nick Smith Jr (Sylvan Hills), have been elevated to five-star status by 247Sports, becoming the firsts from the state to do so since Malik Monk in 2016 and Bobby Portis in 2013.
Ware's stock has been on the rise for over a year, but it has been a dominant spring and summer that has put him over the top. The 6-11 forward with perimeter skills has had some of his best performances against top competition with his All Arkansas Red squad.
His exploits at the Pangos All-American camp, where he played his way into the Top 30 game, were the exclamation point for his 12 spot move up the rankings to No. 17 overall. Ware took an official visit to Arkansas on June 1, has visited Oregon and is on an unofficial to Ole Miss today.
Smith has been right on the edge of earning his fifth star for quite some time. In fact, it only required a two spot bump up to No. 20 in the rankings to push the 6-4 scorer's overall rating up to a 98 and do the trick. Smith was turning heads regularly in the spring with Brad Beal Elite before being sidelined by a wrist injury.
So far, Smith has taken visits to Alabama, Georgetown, Auburn and Kansas. His official to Arkansas is set for the weekend of September 10-12, which coincides with the Razorback football team hosting Texas. Smith plans to announce his commitment on November 20.
Magnolia standout combo guard Derrian Ford saw a slight drop down to No. 60 overall in the Top247 update but still maintains strong four-star status and continues to churn out impressive performances. He took an official visit to Arkansas on June 1 and has not scheduled any additional visits since that time.
Ford was a participant in the Pangos All-American camp, as well, and earned a spot in the Top 60 game at the event. The physical guard has been working out with former NBA All-Star and Arkansas great Joe Johnson and made the move to Next Page Force, where last weekend he led his squad to a championship and earned MVP honors at the Real Deal in the Rock event.
The lone current commitment in the 2022 class is 6-6 small forward Joseph Pinion out of Morrilton, who took an unofficial visit to Fayetteville on June 2 and helped assist in the recruiting efforts of other top prospects.
Pinion, a lethal perimeter threat and underrated athlete, has been running with the Arkansas Hawks this summer and is coming off a strong showing of his own at Real Deal in the Rock. He maintained his standing in the Top 150, moving up a slot in the rankings to No. 138.

Some big drops for Dunning and Lloyd Jr. At least Pinion didn't decline again.

As expected as he visited unofficially and not officially like the others we've brought in recently.

Barry Dunning Jr no longer announcing today. He was much expected to announce to the Hogs today. Some seem to think Memphis got in his ear.

We have a great chance at Walsh, I'd say. Seems like he was totally blown away by his visit.
So he's signing with Auburn?
Just kidding, great to see us on all these guys and the amount of planning going into leaving spots open for potential portal stars.
We should be perennial at this point. Let's not screw up a good thing with Muss.

His top 4 was South Alabama, Memphis, Ole Miss & Arkansas. Then had a top 3 of Memphis, OM & Arkansas.
Maybe he changed his mind and wants to stay home and play at south Alabama?

Barry Dunning, the No. 74 overall prospect in the 2022 Top150, has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks, he tells 247Sports.
"Just through my whole recruitment ever since they offered me, they have been in contact with me and showed me things about my game," he said of why he chose Arkansas. "I went on a visit in June and as soon as I stepped foot off the plane, it felt like home and it felt like family.
The 6-foot-6, 205-pound four-star small forward out of Mobile (Ala.) McGill Toolen committed to Eric Musselman and the Razorbacks over programs including South Alabama, Memphis and Ole Miss amongst others.
"You know how they do things in practice, looking around the campus, academically and basketball it all fit perfectly," added Dunning of his commitment. "They came to Georgia and watched me play during the live period, showing me how much they want me and that I am a priority to them."
Dunning is a versatile prospect who can defend multiple positions and has upside as a glue-guy on the offensive end who can slash, make shots out to three, rebounds and impacts the game in a variety of ways.
"Arkansas basketball is going to get a guy who never takes anything for granted," Dunning said of what he will bring to the program. "I'm going to play hard and they're going to get every single thing out of me. A guy who can push the break and playing multiple positions, a guy who can shoot the three, get to the rack, pass, see the floor well and fill up the stat sheet. They're getting a guy that's going to work hard for them every day."
Dunning is Arkansas' second commitment in the 2022 class joining the No. 141 overall prospect in the class - Joseph Pinion.
With Dunning's decision, the Razorbacks now have the No. 8 overall class in the 2022 Team Rankings.
