Apparently Moses is falling hard on draft boards. Anyone else seen anything on this?

ESPN had a mock draft in which he fell to the 20s but most others I have seen still have him around the same spot he has been throughout the season

It sounds like Lawson brothers are a package deal so it would take two spots, I guess they are a possibility if Moody declares soon as we would have two spots then but not sure they are at the top of the list for Muss.

In about 30 mins or so we will know where Umude is going which will put more into perspective.

I think the bait on Moody is too good to resist if you're a team picking in the late teens

Gardner broke down his final five schools with 247Sports.

Virginia: “Our relationship is really good and I was excited for our zoom last night. I picked their brain again and heard their final pitch. They requested to be my last zoom. We have a great relationship and I know how much they like me and how much I like them. I like how they play a packed line defense and as a player who needs to learn and get better on defense that's a good opportunity. I can progress to the next level on both ends of the court and its exciting opportunity to add to that aspect of my game.``

NC State: “Our relationship is really really good. All their foundation is built on North Carolina players. It was nothing but good things on our zoom. Their main pitch was that you can't be a hometown hero anywhere other than NC State. I see myself fitting in kind of like how Jericole plays a little bit. I would be doing a lot of versatile things like creating off the dribble. It would be some of the same but very different.”

LSU: “I just like the sense of urgency of saying how much they need me as a player and the impact I would make on the court. Also how much they can develop me and help me as a player. He has had guys that have done it before in their system make it. There's a lot of mutual interest.

We have had zooms and our first one was Friday and we had one yesterday. The zoom went really well. We talked about usage rate, possessions, opportunity. They said they want to use me how they used Naz Reid and Trendon Watford. Just a lot of open space, freedom and a lot on me to go make basketball plays.”

Arkansas: “Our relationship has been good, coach Mussleman and the staff is great. They're very analytic based. He's seen it all before and they emphasized how much they want to help me get to where I want to be and how much I can help them. They want to use me in a similar way that they used Justin Smith. I've also noticed what they're doing with their transfers and they're doing their job to put together the best possible lineup they can to hopefully win a championship. For me I'm thinking about it and will weigh my pros and my cons.”

Miami: “Jim and I have a really good relationship. He's seen it and been in the game a long time. They just emphasized how much they need my production for my position. That opportunity is exciting to play in Miami, live in Miami and play tough ACC guards so it's very tempting. We had a zoom yesterday and it was good. All the guys popped up on the team to say hello and how much they want to play with me so that was really cool.”

With a decision coming very soon, Gardener is just looking to come in and score the ball and help lead the team he chooses.

East Carolina leading scorer and rebounder Jayden Gardner is down to five schools and a decision may be coming very soon. The 6-foot-7 junior will be choosing between Virginia, NC State, LSU, Arkansas, and Miami. Gardner had his last zoom with Virginia last night and will decide within a week's time.

“I'm not sure exactly when I'm going to commit,” he said. “I finished my zooms and will go from here. Virginia was my last zoom. It's going to happen this week . It's going to come down to whatever me and my family believe is the best fit for me.”

IMHO, Muss isn't likely to wait too long on any one player. Be it Gardner or whomever. If you waited and that player went elsewhere, then any good backup is likely to be unavailable. So I don't think you can wait very long. I don't see Muss putting his eggs in one basket.

Stanley Umude, a three-time All-Summit League selection who scored over 1,500 career points at South Dakota, will join the Arkansas men’s basketball program next season, head coach Eric Musselman announced.

Umude (pronounced UH-Moo-day) played four seasons with the Coyotes, was tabbed first team All-Summit League twice (2021 and 2019) and earned second team all-league honors in 2020.

“We are excited to welcome Stanley to the Razorback family,” Musselman said. “He brings great versatility and was extremely well-coached at South Dakota by Todd Lee. He has a lot of experience and has a winning background. We feel the addition of Stanley and Au’Diese (Toney) on the wings will give us the ability to play position-less basketball.”

This past year, Umude ranked ninth in the nation in scoring (21.6 points), 32nd in free throws made (115) and 38th in defensive rebounds (6.48 average).

He scored 1,520 points in his career to rank 11th on the Coyotes’ all-time list while pulling down 549 rebounds (24th in USD history) with 183 assists, 91 blocked shots (8th in USD history) and 55 steals. He had a career field goal percentage of .470, including .342 from 3-point range, and he shot .748 from the free throw line. Umude recorded 13 career double-doubles, including five in each of the last two years.

For his career (101 games with 75 starts), Umude scored in double figures 71 times, led his team in scoring 40 times, led his team in rebounding 36 times, scored at least 20 points 31 times (including five 30-point games and one 40-point game) and pulled down double-digit rebounds 14 times.

This is the guy I wanted the most. He looked like the biggest prize in the transfer portal.

Starting lineup of Lykes, Devo, Toney, Umude and Williams.

Notae, Kamani Johnson and KK top subs off the bench and the guard depth will allow KK to rehab and come back from his surgery.

It’s pretty obvious Muss is going with the Baylor model. 6 good guards who can rotate in and out.

Next year is going to be a fun fun year.
