If Joe goes pro we add another experienced guard.

San Francisco GT G Charles Minlend named us in his top 7 yesterday plus Jalen Tate still available.

Payton Willis is grad transferring from Minnesota and Kevin says we've made contact. From Fayetteville HS and spent his first two years at Vanderbilt. Averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds last year.

Jalen Tate from Northern Kentucky commits to Arkansas:

One of the top remaining graduate transfers on the board coming into the day was Jalen Tate. Now the former Northern Kentucky standout is headed to the SEC where he will make his home at Arkansas.

"I am committed to Arkansas," Tate told 247Sports.

At 6-foot-5, Tate can play all over floor. As a redshirt junior, Tate averaged 13.9 points, 5.4 rebounds per game, and 3.6 assists per game. He also was considered the best defender in the Horizon League.

Jimmy Whitt clone, a little odd but good size and hits the glass.

18% 3PT shooter.

The early comparison will be to Whitt.

He shot 41% from three the year before with 15 more attempts. Not sure I've ever seen that big of a discrepancy from one year to the next. Hopefully we get that version of him, though the odd thing is he averaged more points per game this past year while shooting that much worse from three. He played in fewer games and his FT shooting got better so that may be why.

Very strange, you remove his 3pt attempts and he shot 55% though and even better the year before.

And not that its a big difference but not sure why that article has him listed at 6'5'', most everything I've seen is 6'6''. Which probably means 6'4''.

We are going to be so much bigger as a whole next year. Could easily have 3 guys starting that are 6'6'' or taller as compared to having barely one in the starting line up last year.

I think he had a hand injury last year that caused the drop

A graduate-transfer that spent the beginning of his career at Purdue, Haarms is the most experienced and proven center found within the portal. His value cannot be understated which is why his final school list boasts some of the top names in the sport which consists of Arizona, Arkansas, Boston College, BYU, Gonzaga, Kentucky, Memphis, Minnesota, Texas Tech and UNC-Greensboro.

We are full now so I guess we will find out if Joe is not coming back or if someone else is transferring.

We’d probably switch out Haarms for Chaney or Henderson in a second. He’ll be a senior too so it would give us another spot for 2021

IMO Musselman appears to have a very early year DVH approach to filling out a roster and always looking to shuffle the deck.

Damn, if only two of the top grad transfers would have talked to Hill first.
