I know we would like a good 3PT/wing guy... But wouldn't taking a guy like Mosley be no different than Notae coming back, which most people thought would be not be the best idea since we had the 5*s coming in?

Utah Valley transfer Fardaws Aimaq has committed to Texas Tech, he tells @On3sports.

Just think if Shannon had stayed at Tech. They'd probably be a final four team.

Am I understanding correctly that anybody who wanted to be eligible immediately next year had to have entered the portal by end of day yesterday? What does that mean for us w/Kamani and/or Jaxson?
Posted on 5/2/22 at 11:16 am to BallHawg10
That was only for first time transfers that wanted immediate eligibility

Could Anthony Black get his fifth star?
quote:
Since last summer, Anthony Black has risen from outside the top 100 to a consensus top-25 player. The frame is intriguing; at 6-foot-5 with long arms, he is built like a wide receiver – interestingly enough, he had over ten D1 football offers before focusing solely on basketball. The Arkansas commitment’s father, Terry Black, averaged 15.4 points and 8.4 rebounds in his final year at Baylor. The athletic genes are there.
Black missed most of this season with Duncanville (TX) High, so it was hard to get a good read on him. His consistent performances in the practice sessions of these post-season all-star events have been enough to bump him up the rankings. At this time next week, look for a fifth star to be by his name. Some NBA personnel talked about Black as the best NBA prospect in the event.
Black as committed to Arkansas.

Anthony Black first exploded onto the scene last summer, picking up offers from Duke, Kansas, Gonzaga, Arkansas, and others just in the span of a month. Prior to the start of his senior season, all eyes were on the 6-foot-6 combo guard as being a Consensus top-25 prospect. However, Black struggled to be consistently eligible at Duncanville (Texas) High and it was difficult to see viewings of him. Nonetheless, On3’s Gerry Hamilton, a Texas native, kept a watchful eye on Black throughout the high school season. Black also impressed On3’s Jamie Shaw in the McDonald’s All-American Game and Iverson Classic. When it was time to update the rankings, the two came together and placed Black within the top ten, bumping him over 10 spots.
Scouting Report: “Has a basketball player’s frame. Broad shoulders, very projectable once he gets into a college strength and conditioning program. Game can be very smooth. Is solid off the bounce, in short bursts, in the half-court. Can knock down shots extending out the three. Has confidence on the ball, as a secondary ball-handler. Needs to continue gaining strength, which may help him give more consistent performances. Dad played football at a high level. Plays above the rim in transition. Can see the floor.” – Jamie Shaw, On3’s National Recruiting Analyst

He won't start for them. He should have went to UCA.

I'd be surprised if he didn't start. They lose a lot. Really good fit for him.

A new bench for him to keep warm.

Best of luck to him, great fit. Good shot to return to NCAAT next year with all SDSU loses and NDSU loses.

He isn't a good fit any place that he has to compete with superior athletic ability and toughness. ORU may have lost some players but they will find better players in the portal than Vanover. ORU plays in a pretty talented conference for a small schools and they got players that are better than what people think. This isn't UAPB.

I get you've got some weird hatred for the kid but enough player bashing.
I live by ORU and have friends there btw. He's probably starting day 1 like for us both years.
That conference is wide open and ORU was still good last year despite losing Obanor.

Like Jason Jennings, Conner is going to con a school out of a free degree under the guise of being a basketball player, and then go drive a UPS truck.

I think the opposite, I would be surprised if he isn't back to his Cal numbers and then some. Weak conference is perfect for him.
