The Tang reports set the bar so low that almost any name is better in circulation right now.

Odds are HY is focused on enjoying the weekend right now.

Wade was a firm No from the money guys before the Beard fiasco went down, of course there was no back up plan per usual, so things may have changed.

A firm no based on what? His recruiting violations? But Beard was a yes?

McPherson saying we've contacted Wade. Say what you want but he's been on point throughout the whole Muss situation.

It's not just a history with Wade. We'd actually have to deal with the consequences of his violations. Off-campus recruiting restrictions, and wouldn't be able to coach a certain amount of games in '24-'25

He is still under a show cause.

Beard technically has nothing on his record since the charges were dropped and they are still an item.

Beard was texting buddies with the LR group, I say was but you know he still is and they will push for him every time the job is open like the the Springdale crew and their St Gustav, truly battered wives syndrome.

Didn't Pearl have a show cause when Auburn hired him?

No, it had expired.

Same with Sampson at Houston.

No major university has ever hired a headcoach with a show cause in place.

I don’t want Tang, but did he really turn us down?

He put his name in every opening so far this year Louisville, SMU, SC, etc.

Of course HY would be the one to actually talk to him to give the leverage he needed for the new contract he wanted.

I like Beard and would have loved the hire but he parties a bit much for my liking. Feels like Bert

This is what Tang got done today:

A raise
Increase in assistant salaries
An extension
An increase in his NIL budget
Insulation from the university president (team rules suspensions only effects status with the team not ability to be enrolled)
A new name on his Christmas card mailing list - Hunter Yurachek

Hunter made an offer, he was turned down twice in one day. Ouch.

Oh and Tang, the AD and president agreed not to make a public statement on this, so no links.

Ive played the scenario out 100’s of times in my head and cant see where an individual could be this incompetent. If he is there needs to be a house cleaning at the BOT for allowing him to stay employed.

I can only come to two scenarios

1. We had so much attrition and guys checking out in the second half of the year when they knew they would go pro that its killed our APR and coaches are worried about that.

2. We are hiring somebody and its been kept tight lip’d. I could see somebody like a Tommy Lloyd wanting to get out of Arizona. That school’s athletic department is so broke they are cutting budgets and instituting hiring freezes.

Maybe its all calculated and we will get some surprise announcement tomorrow to put eyes on us during the final 4.

Of course Hunter Yurachek is our AD so its probably just ineptitude.

While I agree to a certain extent, how do you get rid of BOT members?

They run shite and always have.

You don't offer Beard in the AM and Tang in the PM if you have the big hire in the bag.

Several things will be blamed by HY.

But Muss, Beard, and Tang all had the same problem, the contract put in front of them drafted by HY.

Jeff Long was the tight lipped hire made before any real info leaked AD.

Hunter is the get up, put on his floppy shoes, grease paint , and big red nose and announces to the world I'm trying to hire this guy AD.
