Cal says he is only signing 9 guys. So 2 more and he's done.
Does he not intend to practice 5 on 5 any?
I can understand a 9 player rotation, but 9 on roster is pretty short.

I head Cal say he didn't want the extra players. They take up coaching time then transfer to other teams. He may bring in practice player or give scholarships with the kid knowing he will never play.

He’d be a great fit. Both with the roster and Cal

The No. 5 prospect in the 2025 class, Koa Peat is a major national name with major national offers. The Arizona-based five-star is in no rush to make a decision, however, as he still has a few campus visits on his to-do list.
Rivals recently spoke with Peat about what’s next in his process.
quote:
ON IMPENDING VISITS:
“I’m going to visit Houston, June 6-8. Then, I’m going to take another unofficial to Arizona this summer. Then, I’ll have more officials in the fall. I’ll probably go to Duke, Arkansas and Baylor.”
quote:
ON ARKANSAS:
“Coach [John] Calipari reached out to me like the next week after he went to Arkansas. He just said that he wants me to play for him. He needed a change and he wants me to come on a visit. He had such a great resume at Kentucky, but things happen in basketball. It’s crazy right now.”

RIVALS' REACTION
Peat’s relationship with the Arizona staff is definitely notable and will keep the Wildcats in the thick of the hunt until the end. Holding off heavy hitters such as Duke, Houston, Arkansas and North Carolina is easier said than done, however, so it’s difficult to make a solid prediction on where the five-star may ultimately land at this juncture.
An upcoming visit to Chapel Hill may do a lot in determining how Peat’s recruitment shakes out.
