The entire Arkansas staff completed a virtual meeting with Marjon Beauchamp, my god what a coup that would be. We are on him hard. Former 5 star that announced going pro but now looking at college.

After reconsidering his pro options, Marjon Beauchamp has been in heavy contact with Arkansas, Oregon, LSU, Washington, and Washington State, a source told @Stockrisers.

Beauchamp virtually met with Arkansas’ Eric Musselman recently and has one set with Wazzu.

Is wide-open.

As I said yesterday, Eric Musselman and his ENTIRE staff, completed one with Beauchamp recently.

Landing Beauchamp and grabbing Toney from Pitt (assuming he’s eligible) would have us reloaded.

Yeah I’m curious if that’s a one or the other situation since they are both SF types but may be that they’re too good to turn down getting both. Wonder if Beauchamp would be able to play the 4 in smaller lineups.

So I haven’t paid much attention due to covid, is it just a crap year for Arkansas high school basketball? I know next year is another decent class but this year seems to be way down.

How about Arkansas? Thoughts on coach Musselman, and their pitch?

Any word on where Nimari Burnett is looking? Would be a good replacement for Moody if he goes pro.

Walker Kessler (center from UNC) just entered the portal. Apparently he wanted to be more of a stretch forward. Do we have a chance?

This was from about a month ago

Sasha Goforth is transferring from Oregon State to play closer to home. Hopefully Mike can do it again with the big time transfer.

Some buzzkill on 247 is saying Baylor is the rumor. Hopefully Mike shuts that down with a quickness.

Furman transfer Noah Gurley is in the portal

Great all around big man that can hit the 3 as well
quote:

"Today I just got off the phone with coach Shaka Smart from Marquette," he said of who has been reaching out. "I talked to coach [Mike] Young at Virginia Tech, my dad talked to coach [Eric] Musselman from Arkansas, I just got off a Zoom with coach [Travis] Steele from Xavier, I talked to coach [Tom] Crean from Georgia, I talked to coach [Lyle] Wolfe from Texas A&M, I'm talking with Marshall and Auburn was one of the first schools to hit me up."

Assuming we have two extra spots to use on the portal, really need another big imo

I think we'll have more than 2 spots. I think a few guys will be encouraged to look for PT elsewhere.

You would think so, Muss isn't afraid to do things like that either.

So can everyone come back if they want? I'm confused on how the covid years are applied and who can actually come back for another year.

Did Smith/Tate use theirs this year? I know both aren't expected back just using them as an example.

Yes, everyone can come back. It sounds like the expectation is though that Moody, Smith and Tate are for sure moving on. Everything else is a crap shoot.
